Oldsmobile AC resistor location

Hello:
I have a 2001 Oldsmobile ALero. Can you tell me the location of the AC compressor resistor. My AC only works with the fan speed on 4 (on 1,2,or 3 the compressor kicks on, but no fan) I purchased NAPA #BR82 resistor, but need the location before I start taking the dash apart?
Thanks,
Mike

The blower motor resister is located next to the fan under the passenger side dash. You will have to remove the glove box and plastic cover under the dash to expose the blower motor. the resister is next to the blower motor.

2000 oldsmobile Alero, The fan control switch for the heater is not working on the to lowest speeds.

The blower motor resistor is bad.It is located on the passengers side by the blower motor. You will need to replace it.Just follow the blower motor noise when is is on and you will find the resistor very close to the blower motor. The wires from the blower go to the resistor. This is a common problem for most makes.Hope this helps.Good luck.

Replacing blower for 2001 oldsmobile alero

Are you replacing it because it has no speeds and doesnt seem to work? checked your fuses and tried replacing the blower motor resistor? I would try a blower motor resistor because it is the most common issue with most cars first. before doing the fan, if you are unsure locate your blower plug in and apply power and ground and if it comes on it is not the blower motor.

Clanking noise when in park, louder with ac turned on

Pull the engine accessory drive belt off and check the pulley bearing and the nose of the water pump and AC compressor for play, this may be the AC compressor pulley bearing or the water pump pulley bearing

Blower sensor

Not sure what you mean by the sensor. There is a package of resistors located at the front left side of the passenger position on the center console. My blower wouldn't work in 1 and 2 speeds until I replaced this resistor
