The ABS light is illuminated. The Word Brake is flashing. There is a Indicator light that is a Circle with a triangle inside lit but not flashing. I drive around for my job and these usually come on later in the day. Could be on the highway or a secondary road. I don't think speed is an issue. The right front wheel lost a balance weight which has had minimal effect on the ride, very slight vibration. I don't know if this could have caused the indicator lights or not. Any insight I could get would be most appreciated. Thanks

If the weight was on the back side of the wheel it's possible that it knocked a wheel sensor for the ABS system. It could have loosened a wire connection for the sensor too.

SOURCE: Front left turn indicator assembly just plain fell off!

Yes,  front turn signal assembly.
Spring attaches to plastic assembly,  that hooks onto slot in inner fender well.   You don't have the spring, because the plastic fin that holds it snapped off.   The other side will do the same in about 6 months.   You will pay about $40 each for an OEM assembly or a high quality replacement online.   Many reputable online parts houses,  my favorites are :
www.blauparts.com www.germanautoparts.com
both are top notch, reasonably priced, fast shipping.  Both can supply OEM (the exact parts you will get from the dealer ... for close to double the price) parts ... be sure to ask.  If either of these vendors have aftermarket parts, they will likely be of equal or higher quality than you will get anywhere else.
If you have any mechanical ability,  the install will take less than 3 minutes ... plug in the connector, pull the spring back toward the passenger compartment until you see where it goes, ands hook it.

I WOULD NOT KEEP DRIVING IT.WHEN ABS LIGHTS AND BRAKE LIGHTS COME ON.YOU HAVE BRAKE FAILURE. TOW IT TO DEALERSHIP HAVE IT SERVICE.AND CHECK THE ABS BRAKES SYSTEM .BECAUSE ABS BRAKE SYSTEM IS NOT A HOME FIX.BECAUSE THE ABS HYDRAULIC MODULATOR UNIT HAS LOWER FROM HOME POSITION .IN ORDER TO MOVE THE MASTER CYLINDER FROM UNIT.YOU NEED A TECH 2 SCANNER TO DO THE JOB.TO GET ABS BRAKES TO BLEED RIGHT BEST TO GET THEM PRESSURE BLEED INSTEAD OF MANUAL BLEEDING GET LESS AIR IN SYSTEM.THAT WHY SEE DEALER SHIP HAS THE THINGS TO DO THE JOB.

SOURCE: BMW warning lights: BRAKE, ABS and DSC

Your alternator is probably dyeing . That is what just happened to my 2004 325XI . The brake light came on and off . Then it came on with the ABS and DSC light. Then the headlights died. Luckily I was near a friends house. When I tried to restart the car, it would not restart

What does a red circle with a red triangle an ! Inside triangle mean on a 2004 audi

Electronic Stabilization Program (ESP)

The light will flash if you are driving and the traction control system is activated (it detects wheel slip on ice, water, etc.). This just tells you it is actively working. You should adjust your driving to the current road conditions to prevent loss of control.

If it stays on continuously, the traction control system (ESP) is off, or there is a problem with the ESP system. Usually, the ABS light will also illuminate if the ESP light is on due to a fault.

My 2001 astro van emergency light and abs light come on at the same time ,sometimes any one knows why thanks

They only come on sometimes ?
Brake Warning Indicator
The instrument panel cluster (IPC) illuminates the brake warning indicator when the following occurs:
?€¢
The body control module (BCM) detects that the park brake is engaged. The IPC receives a class 2 message from the BCM requesting illumination.

?€¢
The EBCM detects a low brake fluid condition and sends a class 2 message to the IPC.

?€¢
The IPC performs the bulb check.

?€¢
An ABS-disabling malfunction also disables dynamic rear proportioning (DRP).

ABS Indicator
The IPC illuminates the ABS indicator when the following occurs:
?€¢
The electronic brake control module (EBCM) detects an ABS-disabling malfunction. The IPC receives a class 2 message from the EBCM requesting illumination.

?€¢
The IPC performs the bulb check.

?€¢
The IPC detects a loss of class 2 communications with the EBCM.

sounds like you have an intermittent problem for now ! a wiring issue or wheel speed sensor going bad. Need to check for codes in abs module , that will give you an Idea where to look first. These systems can set a lot of codes, component codes , wiring codes etc... need to know what code first.

Brake light flashes - abs lights stays on then they go off and a triangle with a circle around it comes on

I suspect bad Brake Pedal Position (BPP) switch. Check & replace if necessary the brake pedal position switch placed above pedals on the support.

tdisline_516.jpg

The best idea is to access the ABS ECU (Electronic Control Unit) using diagnostic equipment (VAS, VAG-Com, or similar) connected to the data link connector of the car, in order to pull out all DTC's (Diagnostic Trouble Code) memored. Then you will be able to replace bad pieces (e.g.: brake pedal switch, front right wheel abs sensor interrupted, ...). After bad pieces replacement you will be able to erase all faults memored by ABS ECU, in other words reset the ABS system and turn off the warning lamp on dashboard.
Good Luck!

Abs light stays on and a yellow triangle warnng light

On occasion an ABS light will come on when a brake light is out. So check your brake lights first. Your ABS light is on because there is a malfunction in the ABS system. Is your brake warning light and your ABS warning light both on? This would be an indicator of a major malfunction in the ABS system. Stop driving the vehicle and fix this immemorially. If only your ABS light warning light is on this will not effect normal braking but the ABS system is disabled while the ABS warning light is on. You still need to have it repaired but you still have brakes for the moment. Now the code for this fault will be stored inside the ABS memory module. So you pinpoint this with scanner. Hope this helps

Changed brake pads and fluid. Brake light/ABS light still lit.

Go back around and check to make sure you didnt accidentally pinch or cut a brake pad sensor. Also the ABS modules on VAG cars are pretty crappy.
