Charge ac

The high pressure service port is located on the liquid line between the condenser and the evaporator, near the front of the engine compartment. The low pressure service port is located on the compressor manifold, directly over the suction port of the compressor. Make sure you know what your doing if you connect the wrong thing to the wrong port you can blow something up.

I am looking for the lower ac charging port,on a2001 ford expidition

The low side pressure fitting usually has a black/green/etc screw on cap and can be found on the silver a/c line. This line leads from the a/c accumulator (receiver) to the compressor. The accumulator is a large silver canister with a line that leads straight to the compressor. Your recharge kit will only fit this quick lock fitting so theres no chance of hooking it up wrong. Also, keep the canister upright as large liquid amounts will damage the compressor.

Good luck! Recharging a 134a system is a whole lot easier than it used to be!

How do i charge the air conditioner on a 2000 ford focus. Where are the connectors

Look for the ac compressor, and locate the large ac line coming off the ac compressor.Follow it until you come to the ac charge port.this is where you charge it up with a charge hose that you have.Put the can on the can tap,and the quick connect to the ac port on the ac.Turn the t handle on the can tap clockwise until all the way down.hold the can upside down.start engine and turn the ac on high blower.and recirculate.shake can lightly, until the can empties.Turn the t handle counter clock wise, almost all the way out,and remove the can .Repeat to add another can,Don`t put too much freon in,and add ac oil also.If it lost freon,it lost oil, failing to do this could cause the ac compressor to lock up.One 4 oz can will be fine.look for the large ac line to get cold, and the accumulator to get real cold, then stop with the freon.

Where does the freon go for a 99 expedition

Hi .. I just ran into the same problem .. I have a 2000 Expedition with the 5.4L engine .. the low side port is located on the passenger side of engine compartment just below the black metal bracket that contains electrical connections right in front of the firewall... you have to reach under this and locate the low side (larger line) and feel for the connection .. it is right in front of the accumulator .. There are two heater hose that hide the port .. you have reach under these to unscrew the port cap which is black .. you'll have to do this by feel .. I have found that you can by R134A charge with dye and leak sealant helps with small leaks .. if the system takes more than two cans be usre to add refrig. oil .. hope this helps

2002 ford expedition air conditioner needs R 134 refrigerant. I cant seem to locate the service port.

The low pressure valve on the 02 expedition is located on the accumulator on the passenger side fire wall. The accumulator is underneath the battery relay and a grouping of wires. Had to squeeze hand underneath a heater2_bing.gif hose and an a/c line to remove cap and hook up hose. Nothing has to be removed to locate the valve just a little touchy feely. Valve faces a 45 forward toward the engine.

Recharge Auto air conditioner

I just did this for my 1994 Camry. Does your camry use the R-134A modern refrigerant? Probably.

Go to an auto parts store and buy a can of R-134A with a pressure guage included. You'll need that guage so you don't overfill the system. I bought one that allows me to save the guage and buy cheaper refills int he future.

There are two AC valves. A small one, located in the left-rear of the engine compartment, behind the strut tower, just in front of where the passenger seat is located. It might have a cap on it marked "L". This is the "Low" port, and is the one you want. The larger "H" port is up near the battery, is bigger, and is the "high" port. You don't want to use that one, and besides, it won't fit the can anyway.

Locate that low valve in the left-rear of the compartment. Take the cap off (if one is still on there). Start the engine and get it up to running temp. Turn on your AC to maximum cool, fan at maximum. Follow the directions on the can. It's pretty simple.

You'll pull back on the bushing on the refill line, and then snap it onto the valve just like you'd find on an air hose. Snap it into place, and then start refilling. Make sure the can is upside down and that you rotate and shake the can to get the coolant out effectively.

Where do I hook the R-134 freon up to charge the system? I can't find the valve to hook up the freon, where is it located

Follow the large tube/hose coming out of the dash to a large aluminum canister that then has a hose or tube that goes to the compressor. It is probably located on the side of that canister (the accumulator) under a little blue screw on cap.. WEAR EYE PROTECTION AND GLOVES WHILE HANDLING REFRIGERANT!
