The fuel sending unit's located on the side of your fuel pump, located inside the fuel tank, you did'nt specify what year, make, moel,or engine size.but the odds are that it's an 80's model or above. if so,then this is you. you can purchase a used fuel pump at a used parts place that will have the sending unit you need. but the question remains? is the used one good. rarely do they go bad,but they do sometimes.you would do well to purchase a new fuel pump, which the fuel sending unit will be new also. just to be sure.but,if your mechanically inclined and can drop the fuel tank yourself, then you may come out cheaper bu purchasing a used fuel pump.there is no fuse for the fuel guage.there is a fuse for the fuel pump, and also a fuel pump relay, but odds are you're fuel pump works or wlse the engine would'nt start.the issue is the fuel level, right? replace the fuel pump, either new,or used and this should repair the issue. the fuel tank will have to be removed to replace the pump, most garages charge according to how much fuels in the tank. a full tank of gas is super heavy,a low tank is light and easily dealt with under the car.suggest you shop around 1st for pricing.thank you very much for choosing fixya.com. and good luck in your repairs!!
