Its the wires in your drivers side door jam, the become brittle from constant opening and closing of the door. I had the same problem with my 1996 Camry but it was effecting my power windows and door locks also, What I did was take the rubber tube out of the drivers door with all the wires running into the car, cuting them all off, resplicing all the wires and connecting them with connectors, wrapping each one with electrical tape and then all of them together with the tape and after I did this all my windows works, all the door locks and the front speaker too! I did this over a year ago and havent had one bit a trouble since, good luck!
take the door panel off, disconnet the speeker harness connector using an anolog multimeter the one with the needle setting on A/C low voltage cause sound is transmitted thru A/C current putting the Pos. & neg. probes on the harness side turn on the radio and watch the needle move if it does'nt the radio went to hell or if it does then change out you speaker.
I have the same problem with my 2005 chevy 1500. I had a speaker laying around and i instaal it and now it works, by the way my right speaker just when also now i have to replace that one. You have to remove door panel to replace speaker
first> road vibrations can cause cable connections to come loose so you can start by taking out your radio and making sure all of the questions in the back are connected as they should be. Second> if this doesnt seem to work then the next step is to check the wires going to the speakers that arnt working (this will b quite a job, but if you can do it, it will save u quite a bit of money) .. checking the wires your checking for >bad connection to the speakers >cuts in the wire or if any part of the wire is touchin any other metal object
try pressing the right button of your stereo 3x which i think is for the balance of the speakers probably it is only balanced on the left side just put it in the middle
