Hi, this is often caused by a low battery. Try a jump start. If that works, remove the jumper cables and check the voltage at the battery with the car still running. Voltage should be at least 14 volts DC. If not, remove the alternator and have it tested at your local parts chain. If the jump start doesn't work, please get back to me.

I have a 2000 Ford Taurus. My wife left the radio running with the ignition off for a short while. Now the car won't turn over, won't start, won't jump. There is one click when trying to s

The click you are hearing is most likely the start slenoid making contact, however you should short the large wires @ the solenoid to make certain the starter still doesn't run, if so try tapping the starter with a hammer to shift the comutator a litle and try to start. Even if it now starts the starter will continue to give you problems so the proper fix is change the starter

2000 ford taurus no ignition power

In the diagram, the top wires are voltage to ignition switch, hot all the time, use a test lite to check for voltage, you can see the wire colors. The bottom wires go hot with key in the proper position, check them for voltage, also. I started to trouble shoot your power windows, figuring if you fix one component, it may fix the others. I guess it's 6 of one or 1/2 dozen of another. Several ways to troubleshoot.
Any applicable trouble codes?

Is your dome light coming on? do the power locks work?
Your battery may be dead, or you may have blown a main fuse (under the hood)

2002 Ford Tauras SES

sounds like battery dead. it died while running then it an alternator. you should get a battery light on steady when running if alternator has failed but not always on a ford... you need a meter of some type. 12.6 not running fully charged12.2 25%. running at least 13.8-14.6 at the battery.

Loud noise in front left tire 2004 Ford Taurus SES

You mentioned the noise was from the left (drivers side) front. The compressor is on the passenger side in association with the engine compartment. Question, once the noise starts does it continue while stopped or only while moving?

I have a 2000 ford taurus ses my radio, tape player, cd, and dash clock all stopped working the fuses are all fine what else can it be?

You might try testing the power that leads into the insturment panel. You can remove the hole radio assembly by bending a wire coat hanger enough to get it into the two holes on the sides. When you pull it out, you will have depressed a couple of clips. The power switch is connected to the left side in the back of the unit. Hope this helps.
