My 99 es300 wont start, my friend checked the starter, battery, alternator and he also checked the fuel going to the motor, everything checked out to be ok. I replaced three ignition coils on the front of the motor, the car started i drove down street and it stalled again. when i tried to start it again it sounded as though it was going to start but it didn't turn over. I tried and tried until it drained my battery I swapped out the battery with another and it drained that one as well. I think I may need to change the other three ignition coils but i'm hesitant because they cost like $90 each. I'm just stuck and don't know what else to do.

SOURCE: '90 lexus es250 wont start..

Get it diagnosed correctly. This is why we have 20,000 dollars of diagnostic equipment. If we were to guess I would of suggested the fuel pump.

This defineatly was not an alternator issue or a starter issue or battery by what your symptoms were.

You could have a failed computer or crank sensor or ignition module. Only testing will tell you what is not at fault and what is.

It sounds like the battery and if you continue cranking it with low amps it can also damage the starter. You ccan take it to any auto parts store and they will come out in the parking lot and check your charging system and battery for free then you will be sure what is wrong.

99 sable won't start, replaced battery, starter, alternator, but still wont even crank. code reader also said map sensor so it was reset worked for alittle but now nothing

If the car does not have a security system, I would check for voltage at the starter from the battery and from the key switch.
The power from the key switch goes thru the neutral safety switch before getting to the starter.

Look into the starter motor.

Car is 10 years old and starter motor problem is linked to startup issues in cars. Common issue

Car wont start

I can only say that for the old cars even sitting for a year is not healthy, because most parts of engine, starting system, charging system will get corroded/deposited. Most probably you will need to change battery, motor oil, fuel, spark plugs, check the starter and alternator. Also check the fuel pump, fuel filter. First shot would be battery, fuel, spark plugs and starter.

Lexus es300 won't start

I had a similar experience just the other day, i stopped to get gas and turned the car off and when attempting to turn the car back on nothing would happen. Well, let me rephrase the lights inside and out would work as well as the ac and the radio. My initial train of thought was maybe it was the battery so i went and purchased a new battery which was around $100, I installed the new battery and the car still wouldn't start. Does your car make a clicking noise when you turn the inginition key or is it just silent? If it is silent, you might want to check to see if your starter has burned out. Luckly a friend of a friend does his own mechanical work and was able to remove and replace the starter for me. After the starter was replaced the car started right up and ran perfectly. Not sure where u live but in my area a starter ranges in price from $100-200, but they also charge a core fee ranging from $45+, which can be reimbursed if you bring in your old starter to the store. I would suggest getting a starter with a lifetime warranty as well, but thats just a suggestion.

Hope this helps,
