Look under the dash above the gas pedal and switch the hot to cold knob back and forth. you will see a cable hooked to a white plastic cam, this cable usually pops off the black plastic housing and causes this. If it is connected there it is in the control knob itself.
It may be that the idle speed of the motor is set to low.A stick shift should idle at about 600-700 revs,an auto at about 750 revs.If the air con is used there is an idle/up device that brings the revs up a fraction because the air will make the engine idle slower.the problem may just be a small adjustment.Hope this helps
this happens in my 2001 model also, i found that when i am driving with the air-con turned on i have to rev the car a little more to overcome this problem.
if you got the manual, it usually gives you where the fuses are and what they are. If the manual does not tell what the fuses are then you have to do it the old fashion way and pull them out and put them back in one by one untill you come across the right on. If it's not the fuses then the globes behind the dash are broken and the dash may have to come out, but it's rather expansive to have it done by a mechanic because of the time it takes (labour fees).
Start the car open the hood. with the hood open listen and smell for the leak. Probably the frt exhaust manifold leaking. Independent mechanic can repair just as easy. No need for dealer. If the leak is bad enough you will smell exhause leak. Look for the area with the greatest amount of noise.
