I have a 2005 hummer h2 that had its oil changed about a month ago , and today as i pulled into my driveway i noticed i heard knocking and my oil pressure was dropping, im figuring it might be a bad oil pump since i see no leakage. where is the oil pump located and might you guys have any info on my problem?

SOURCE: high oil pressure in my humer h2

First thing that i would reccomend is switching to 5w30 oil since this is what GM wants you to run in your hummer. Next i assume your gauge is pegged out and doesn't fluctuate. You are going to have to take your hummer down to the local dealer and have a computer hooked up to see if the gauge is bad or the oil pressure sender is bad, more than likely the sender. thanks for using fixya !! have a nice day

SOURCE: Hummer H2 rear wiper and sprayer came on by itself

It sounds like the wiper control module. The wipers on my 2003 did the same thing. After I pulled the fuse for the rear wiper, the front wipers started acting up as well. I had to pull fuses to stop them too. There is a recall on 2003 H2's for this issue. The cover of the wiper module on 2003s for the allows rain/water to get into the module. The cover will be replaced for free, however, in my case since the module was full of water and my wipers were not working, they replaced the module for free also. Not sure how much it would cost to replace on a 2005.

SOURCE: I need to remove the luggage racks from my 2007 Hummer h2 SUT

I have the same vehicle and was able to remove mine with the following steps: 1) remove light behind each rear of luggage rack rail using phillips screwdriver (one screw each side). 2) remove molding underneath each light using T20 torx driver (2 screws each side). 3) Loosen cross rails nobs. 4) Side cross rails off of roof.

SOURCE: 2005 h2 wipers run all the time

There was a recall on the suv`s but I`m not sure the h2`s were included. The fix was the replacement of the wiper motor module which is on the motor. All you have to do is remove the cover on the wiper motor and the module is there.Just unplug it and pry it out with a small screw driver. You can get a module from the dealership parts department.Just follow the directions.Hope this helps.Good luck.

I have a 2005 Hummer H2 and it will not hold oil pressure until we change the filter. We change the filter and it goes up to 40 and stays good for about a week then drops back down and we have to repeat...

Cut the filter in half and see what is happening with it. Is it clogged up? is it blown out? Also replace the oil sending unit, it could be bad.

I began to have issues with my '05 Hummer H2 a few weeks ago.....

P0496 = "Evaporative emission system high purge flow"

At the dealership, we get a lot of complaints like yours and they all started with running too low on fuel or running out.

Start with replacing the fuel filter and get back to me.

Running low/out tends to suck up micro trash from the bottom of the gas tank and that gunk clogs the fuel filter.

Do you know where the knock sensor # 2 is located on a 2004 hummer h2?

KNOCK SENSOR LOCATED LOWER SIDE ENGINE BLOCK ABOVE THE OIL FILTER.

Oil pressure problem

Change the oil filter. It could be clogged. That would cause an increase in oil pressure. You dont wanna blow a main seal so do it promptly. If that isnt the problem, then you might want to consider consulting a local ASE Certified mechanic to help better diagnose the problem. Good Luck.

Oil Sensor light keeps coming on 2003 H2 Hummer

There is a sensor located on the oil pan. If the plug-in to this sensor comes loose it or if the sensor fails, it will send the low oil signal. You are wise to check the oil to confirm it is not low.
