We have a 1988 jeep wrangler 4.2l 6 cyl that we are looking for the vacuum diagrams for. We have the chilton book but it is not giving us the exact info we need. Please help!

check chiltons manuals, they usually have wiring diagrams in the back of them to show you all you need. its hard to find online ones. you always have to pay for those ones

TRY TURNING THE DISTRIBUTOR A LITTLE AFTER YOU LOOSEN THE BOLTS TO ADVANCE THE TIMING . DON'T LOOSEN THE DISTRIBUTOR TOO MUCH, JUST ENOUGH TO TURN . BUY A CHILTON MANUEL ON YOUR JEEP TO MAKE SURE THE VACUUM LINES ARE RIGHT

if its equiped with a crank sensor i would chk. that, if crank sensor bad you won't get no spark either.

Check your spark plugs. Without good spark plugs the ignition won't ignite. Just go look for Jeep spark plugs at like AutoZone and they are real cheap. To change them you will need a long socket wrench to twist them out and change each one.
