TPS voltage is Close to 0 volts, normally the minimum, and 5 volts is typically the maximum. As an example, when a car's computer reads 2.5 volts from the TPS, it may mean the throttle is opened by 50% (your foot is pushing the pedal half-way down), and yes has a cam sensor its in between the cams behind the cam cover.

Bad carberator or needs a carborator adjustment.

Could also be dirty air intake.

check the wheel bearings for condition and adjustment. Check the cv joints for failure.

The fuel pump of the KIA sportage mentioning is new and the fuel filter and yet the vehicle will start instantly but the acceleration is not picking and firing, pls what could cause this problem?

That fuel consumption is a bit heavy, but not excessive, depending on the driving conditions. In heavy traffic and slow town driving with a lot of stop starts it would be acceptable but on the open road in 2 wheel mode it would be excessive. Kia do not seem to manage much better than about 8-10 l/100km, even on their sedans.

I have the same problem on my kia sportage 1996, I already change the fuel filter, spark plug, bought a new excel 2sm batt. but still no start. I am suspecting maybe a fuel pump fuse or fuel pump itself... Mr. czar1120, if you find solution, pls tell me...

I think there are vacum hoses on both the left and right side of the front wheel wells you have to remove the wheels to check. Check to see if there are intact or damaged if they are replace the with the same size hose. Let me know if that helped.

i dont have any info on sportages, but your owners manuel should. you can go into most auto parts stores and ask them to look it up also the manuels hanging on chains back in the oil and air filter sections will tell you. if i had the info i would be glad to give it to you but until i get this program instalation fixex by fixya i cant excess anything
