I have a 98 ram 1500 4wd auto with 5.9. Engine runs great. when you rev it up and release the throttle quickly it almost dies. Here is the wierd part. It only does this when the engine is warmed up. Once it is warm it will eventually die and it won't restart Map sensor tests good, camshaft sensor tests good, crankshaft sensor tests good, new coil, plugs and wires, distributor and rotor. Whats wrong?

I have a 1997 ford E 150 customize mark 3 van have driven back and forth to work 5 years ran great Christmas Day drove down to the garage and back up to house and now it will not start turns over has spark will not fire
Hi This sounds like a cold start system fault, which is a number of things.
Cold start temperature sensor not operating correctly so the cold start system won't work when the engine is cold.
The idle needs to be set to the correct RPM of the engine when warm, if it is idling ok when it is warm then this wont be the problem.
Spark Plugs are worn and need replacing.
Most case's its the cold start system not operating correctly and if you have a good workshop to take it too they should pick this up quite quickly. Hope this helps, let me know how you get on.
don't know for sure but my 98 had simmilar problems and it ended up being the ignition switch, not the key switch but the actual ign switch.worth a try.
If you don't do much highway driving with your van you may have a carbon build up try some fuel njctor cleaner and mid grade gas for a tank or two If you go with the fuel additive rev your engine and watch for moisture and carbon from your exhaust contine to do this till exhaust is clear do not over rev ie do not hold it to the floor press he accelerator pedal and release
