Trouble code definitions do not necessarily have to be under the "Kia" heading; imports share trouble code definitions and are identical in most cases. Very rarely is a trouble code brand-specific. Check under Hyundai and Mitsubushi and you will see that Japanese and Korean car companies have similiar trouble code definitions.

Note: You have 1995 model year; this could be more challenging since most OBD-II systems started from 1996 and on.

How does the 4wd lock work on awd 2013 kia sportage
Its automatic. AWD is different than 4WD. AWD keeps all the wheels working independently. Where 4WD keeps all wheels working no matter what. No need to worry about anything on an AWD set up. Speed doesnt matter, however in my opinion stopping and letting it kick in or out is best. Just in case a part acts up it wont do anything odd at high speeds.

95 kia sportage transfer case engages, but hubs do nnot lock. my light for 4X4 lights up,
the vacuum hoses or wheel seals are leaking in the front wheels. they are vacuum operated. the dealer has kits you can buy to convert to manuel locking hubs, they had alot of problems with the vacuum hubs
