I have a lexus rx350 2011. Had dealer install remote start. Battery is dead after car sits for 7 days. Happened twice. Dealer says there is no problem. Had it to Lexus repair twice. It always starts for them, they say. Originally was told to get a car trickler. Was also told I don't drive it enough to allow alternator to charge battery. Had two lexus vehicles before this one and no problems. any ideas would be greatly appriciated.

Fit a solar panel and wire it in direct to the battery ,this will cure the problem ,its the alarm thingy using all the current when car is left standing ,but what will you do when vehicle has its first annual vehicle mechanical inspection at three years old as this remote start is not part of the vehicle and as such is not on the certificate of homoglonation from manufacturer ,Also i always thought this sort of device was illegal as you cannot leave a running vehicle unattended as this is an offence under the road traffic act of 1947 .

2007 lexus 460ls battery goes dead if not driven for 2 days. what is wrong??

something is turned on and killing the battery. Check the trunk light....(does it really go out when the lid is closed?. Take the bulb (s) out and see if that makes a difference....also if you have one on the hood lid....do the same thing...and pull out the cig lighter too...and also the bulb in the glove box. Something that is NOT on your accessories power is staying on.

I have a dealer installed cool start remote starter installed in an '04 LS430. Was working fine until new battery installed. Now doors open and close remotely, but starter does not initiate. Any ideas?

take it back to dealer ,might need reprogramming ,these things are always a pain and go wrong i have seen them on imported cars here but i have had to disable them as they are illegal here as its an offence to leave a unattended vehicle running .

My lexus E350 battery goes dead if car is not used for a week. Had the battery checked with dealer says it is OK

This has happened to me TWICE in the past 4 months. I had Lexus road side service come out both times to check the car out. Each time the battery was totally dead. The road side mechanic said that if the car is not driven at least 15 minutes nonstop a day, the battery runs dead as there are so many draws from the car on the battery. If you do alot of stop and start driving like I do, that isn't enough to recharge the cell of the battery, it must be non stop driving time. Recommend that I get a 1.5 tricky charge device an hook to battery at least one night a week to keep the battery charged. This is really frustrating with such a new car. I've spoken to other owners of other model luxury cars and no one has had this problem.

I have 2009 Corvette, with battery problems as follows: IT seems when it sits for a week or so the battery goes dead. The dealer could not find anything wrong except for a bad battery, so they replaced it....

it has a draw, and they will be best equipped to find it. There are more modules on that car than the shuttle. it may take them a while, its warranty right?? its just a process of elimination, removing modules/ components from the "LOOP" until the draw goes away. good luck

2001 lexus ls430. Dead battery at airport. jumoers turned over starter fine but car would not start and no dashboard lights, fan, radio but driver and front passenger windows and doorlocks worked but not...

Sounds as though when your battery died the engine imobiIiser locked down.
YOU MAY HAVE TO HAVE THE CAR TOWED TO A LEXUS DEALER AND HAVE THE MASTER KEY AND OTHERS REPROGRAMMED TO THE IGNITION...BUT
If you have your wallet key as well , try taking all to the airport. HOLD the card to the dash beside the ignition for at least 20 seconds, then try turning the key several times. I haven`t done an LS but the failsafe when a remote fails is to hold the key beside the ignition for at least 20 seconds ....
Also try the lock routine, but I think the issue is in dash..security needing to reboot to your key.
My understanding is that the lock routine re initialises the lock setstings when power is restored

If the car sits for > week, car won't start.

The car does not have an alarm system but does have a remote start system installed by a certified dealer.
