Won't start (1995 Volkswagen Jetta)

My car was hesitating to start, then after four tries and it started. The car was making a ringing noise followed by a heavy sound as if something came loose, the car still had enough power so I can drive it to a safe place and park it. I turned off the car, smelled something burnt. Tried to turn the car back on but now it doesn't, though the car lights turn on. What do you think is wrong?

Sounds like you need a new timing belt. Pull the cover off (usually 2 clips) and check for any splits or loose teeth.

Car won't start, but make clicking noise

Sounds like you might need a new starter. If the lights and radio still come on, then you may need a new battery.

I hope this helps. Good luck!

My 1995 volkswagon golf is making a buzzing noise from the relay before starting and now it doesn't start

sounds like the starter relay has shorted out, unplug it and get a replacement , if you have another one thats the same in the vehicle, trade it out and see if the motor starts, if so ,, Just get another relay

Growling noise in front end of volkswagon jetta

Your transmission and cv axle is running dry. Grease it up, fill it up and try it again. And tighten whatever is loose that is allowing it to leak.

Jetta 95 won´t start

Moisture in your ignition system can cause this to happen , start with a cap/rotor and wire replacement. More then likely this will cure your rainy day blues.
