1998 chev venture

My window will not go up or down. I bought a new switch today, but it did not fix the problem. You can hear that the motor is still working in that door. Any suggestions?

The window may be off track. take the door panel off.

There is a nylon strap that gears will run to move the window up and down. If the strap breaks or it is no longer connected to the window then the motor will keep working but the window will not move.
Best thing to do is go to a auto windshield replacement shop. They have all the tools and extra parts need to fix the problem. If you take it to the dealer, that will just call a auto glass shop to come in and fix it and charge you the mark up.
After removing the door panel to see what part you need to replace and running around to order the part and extra clips for the door panel that always break, not to forget lots of band aide. There will be blood, alway's blood when working on door panels. Some things are worth the two hours of service.
Good luck and keep me posted if you need instructions to removing the door panel. If there is an Auto Zone the sell the nylon strap and parts needed for your door and can give the step by step instructions too.

I have a 1999, Chev Venture. The wipers quit working, but i can still hear and see the motor run. Will i need to replace the motor or is there a fix for this?

My guess would be something broke in the linkage between the motor and the blades/arms. You may have to remove the blades and pull off the trim panel to find out.

Had same problem and replaced switch on drivers door and now works fine. Not saying thats your problem but i went through the same stuff and that fixed it for me.

Window chevrolet 1998 malibu issues

You will need to remove the inner door panel

Remove the entire Window Regulator Assy,
& switch the motor to a New Window Regulator

Yours Broke,& no, there is no such thing as putting
it back on track

If that isn't the case when you get inside the door,
then the switch broke & only works in the down position

How to repair rear window wiper on 2002 chev venture

Good day, if you can hear a pulsating buzz coming from the wiper motor, you probably have a grounding problem. If you do a fixya search for 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe, then at bottom of page under how tos I have a tip to fix rear wiper. If Chevrolet used that same wiper motor on your car, maybe it will fix yours too. Since it is a different model removal of panels to get wiper motor access will be different, then connect a wire from wiper motor frame to a good chassis ground. Good luck.

98 chev blazer wont start or make any noises...

Listen for a click from under the steering column when you turn the key on. If you hear no electrical click then your ignition switch could be bad. If you hear an electrical click the you starter soleniod is bad.
