Seeping oil from bmw m6. frequently. what could be the reason. please help.

The reason for this could be more than one problem. How much oil is there? Does the vehicle have any other symptoms or problems like smoky exhaust, loss of power, uneven idle?
This could be a clogged PCV valve, clogged oil passages or badly worn piston rings.
A PCV valve is a pressure release system for the bottom half of the engine that vents into the air filter housing. If this fails the engine can 'Burp' oil up into the air filter. They are not expensive so replacing it could be a cheap fix.
Clogged oil passages usually happens to badly maintained engines where the oil isn't changed regularly and the dirty oil blocks the oil channels inside the engine. Depending on how dirty the oil is and how long ago the last oil change happen the fix could be two different methods. A major oil and filter change could fix the issue, however, if the engine is badly clogged you might need to get the engine 'flushed'. A major washout of the oil channels.
The last reason is a more serious one. Worn Piston Rings. Oil is coming up past the pistons into the combustion chamber. This issue often also has thicker blue coloured exhaust smoke. This involves an engine rebuild to repair so mechanics often recommend a full engine swap. A rebuild is Major surgery for an engine.

please state if its a auto or a manual ,need this information to tell you what to check but firstly check the front pulley and the rubber join in the middle take the fan belt off to do this

Take trim back off. See if start. If start, leave trim off. You may have one of those grounding trim cars where you put the trim on and it shorts the battery and then there's not enough electrical electrons to start the motor.

m6 cigarrete lighter fuse is located under the mat and can find the guide to which their as well. its fuse number 22IIRC.

hi well i have always checked my levels when the engine is cold, the reason for this is the oil filter empties back into the engine anyway and normally as all the oil is in one place this will give you a better reading than if the oil has been displaced around the engine and will not have time after a few minutes to seep back into the sump, but i dare say some people will say, you have to run the engine to fill the oil filter so it is full and then check, not so as that is the reason for the level on the dip stick to check the level , i do how ever contradict myself by saying, if you have changed the oil and filter on the vehicle, then you do run the engine for a bit then check the level, but let it go cold to check level again...hope this helps

if you run the a/c in slow traffic it will cause more heat in the engine bay then the car can ex spell if that is not the case try putting in a new thermostat and also when the thermostat is being replace have a very through cooling system flush done.hopefully this helps a bit.

If it is posi rear-end or limited slip MUST have additive added to fluid or will cause noises.

Take it to a service center and have them put it o o lift and check it out.
