01 Pontiac Aztek trunk relase wont work and cannot unlock trunk with key either, it just wont open

This will sometimes work; either with help or alone, depending on the location of the latch, press the hatch in firmly and repeatedly near the latch with the flat hand while trying to turn the key or operating the remote release. If you can get it open, don't close it again until you have sprayed some lubricant into the latch mechanism; not WD-40 since this is good for loosening things but evaporates fairly quickly so provides only temporary help and the problem may return soon.

Check fuses in both fuse boxes

    Niece had the same problem, under the hood fuse fixed it, pulled it out and put it back and and she was good to go!! Nothing but issues with this car, I don't even want her to have it anymore...the locks work when u put the car in drive and park, but when you want to use the buttons on the door it don't work, her car kept shutting off, she got a new battery, and it's now doing it again!! But she is also a little above half overheating...taking it to shop tomorrow

Did you check for a loose electrical connector on the trunk lock mechanism? There was a small two prong connector that was loose on my 2001 Pontiac Grand Am I connected it and the trunk button on drivers door now works and when I get a new key fob I am sure it will work.

Key out,can turn ignition , no start
01 pontiac have chip in the key. If you key is removed wont start.The key send signal tho body computer, body computer confirm pass code to engine computer ,ecm send signal to safety neutral switch next is starter relay and last is the starter.some times transmission switch is not line up correctly.turn the switch to start and hold and with other hand move slowly from park to neutral.if your car start inspect the shifter links or the switch for correct alighment.

01 chrysler sebring convertible dead battery car wont unlock with key
try to reach up under the front of the car with your arm and try to locate the latch with the hood release cable attached to it. Use your fingers or plyers to manipulate the latch to release-pull on the cable. You may have to remove the grill to access it.

2001 pontiac grand prix trunk release dose not work remote or inside car no power at release in trunk.
Sounds as though the motor may have quit working, check your fuse or the relay in the underhood power center. The key still works correct? Do you hear any noise when you try the remote switches? If you do the rods may have come loose or the holders may have broken.

Have a 2002 pontiac aztec.....trunk door, stuck.....when put key in it turns but no click like no latch even there
There is a computer in the Aztek that actually controls the trunk, the key only tells the computer to do what it is supposed to (I had one of these). The new computer costs about $250, or you can pop the hood and pull the fuse for the computer (i think fuse 14? I don't have the car anymore...) then plug it back in about 30 seconds later. That will get it working again for a while. I did this for the last year I owned the car.

Dash board gauges not working on 01 aztek
open the driver side door there should be a panel right inside the door crease. if not they are up under the dash It's been so long since we sold our aztek I don't remember exactly but one of those two locations.
