Hard starting Hyundai accent 2004 GL 4dr. sedan 1.6 l 5 speed\r\nEverything has been replaced on this car and it still has a hard time starting. After it won't start the first time you shut everything down, try it again and it starts perfectly. I'm retired on a fixed income and two Hyundai dealers have tried to find the problem and no solution, I can't afford to keep this up. I contacted Hyundai Canada and they say only their dealers can talk to tech reps , not the public. Please help me out !!!

SOURCE: Black clamps for rear seat? Where do they go?

There are 2 small kinda u shaped clamps that sit on the floor. Those are used to hold the seat down to the floor of the car. You set the seat down and push it in toward the back of the car as well as down at the same time to lock it into those clamps. If you look up near the edge of the area where the seat goes you should see the holes for those brackets.

SOURCE: 2004 hyundai accent. trouble filling gas tank

The fill tube for the fuel tank is either clogged with something or the anti-siphon feature (what stops people from stealing your gas) is fouled up. The tank and fill tube have to be inspected.

SOURCE: Speedometer Needle for Hyundai 2004 Accent

If your transmission fluid level is okay, then you need a new speedometer cable. Its not terribly difficult to replace, but it does require you to pull the instrument cluster. A local Hyundai dealership might be willing to photocopy the specific speedometer cable replacement instructions out of the 2004 Accent shop manual.

SOURCE: Rear struts failed after dealer put car on lift.

you have a reason to be doubtful. very seldom would something like that occur unless the srut was near it's peak functionming and starting to fail. the strut is always under pressure because of the spring so " not meshing sounds bogus to me. i have been a mechanic for over 20 years and i can't give you one example of this happening on your model of car or any other models. to be quite honest a strut that fails only after 4-5 years very seldom happens to begin with. but does happen. my advice is to take it to a small shop whjere the quality of work is better and the cost cheaper and have them examine it. let me know what they say and get back to me. just click my user name on this site i will be more than happy to help you further if there is more questions that you have

1999 hyundai accent gl bogs down when i put in gear just replaced coil pack sparkplugs and wires any ideas

Without actually looking at the vehicle, it's difficult to say. The 1999 accent was equipped with an idle speed conrol actuator (common issue) or there may be a vacuum leak at the surge tank or the problem may be something electrical. Without a proper inspection/diagnosis of engine management components, it could be anyone's guess. Valve timing could be 'out', poor cylinder compression, restricted intake air flow, poor quality fuel/gasoline, restriction in the exhaust system, low fuel pressure, and the list goes on and on.

Best advice. Have a qualified Hyundai Service Technician properly diagnose your vehicle.

Replace oil pan on my Hyundai accent 2004

You can try to re torque the bolts before you drop the pan and re place the gaskit if that is where your leak is coming from. Good luck and hope you don't have to drop the oil pan.
