Hi,
First check the fuse in the fuse box for signal light, replace the fuse with similar value if it is busted. If the fuse is still intact the problem would be the flasher relay( small cylindrical aluminum ) that is already malfunctioning.
You'll need to locate the turn signal flasher relay either in or near the interior fuse box or in the high amp fuse box under the hood and replace it. It will look like a small box either round or square and just unplugs then plug in the new one with the prongs going in the same holes.
CHECK TURN SIGNAL FUSE IN THE FUSE BOX LOWER LEFT SIDE OF THE INSTRUMENT PANEL.IF FUSE OKAY PROBLEM COULD BE THE FLASHER IN THE FUSE BOX ITS A LARGE ROUND METAL TIN LOOKING FUSE.YOU SEE IT IN THE INTERIOR FUSE BOX.IF FLASHER GOOD.TURN SIGNAL SWITCH COULD BE FAULTY.SHAKE TURN SIGNAL SWITCH WIRES CHECK FOR SHORTS.
your flasher fuse is generally a round, or rectangular metal fuse.It should be in the fuse panel under the dash.If you look closely at the back of the fuse, sometimes they are stamped. You may be able to obtain a diagram of your fuse panel from your owners manual, check the index,or appendix in it.If you still have problems after replacing the flasher fuse, you may have a bad signal switch in the collum. Also try your hazards. On my truck the hazard signal sometimes does not fully engage, although the hazards stop flashing the turn signals wont work.more than likely,if the flasher fuse is blown, your hazards wont flash either. the lights for the signal should appear on your instrument panel and stay on steady, and not flash. good luck
There is a flasher unit in the fuse box. You just pull it out and buy a new one at a parts store. Take the old one with you make sure they are the same.
