My speedometer does not work on my 1999 bmw z3 roadster, check the speed sensors front and back, the wiring, and connections at the transmission, still no luck, exchange the cluster and it will not advance the miles, all the other components are working properly, just don't know what else to do, please help. does it need to be reprogrammed by the dealership?. Can I reprogram it myself?

yes they will you just may need to use a wheel spacer

unfortunately , no you can not.
Ford is good like this... they make their own tools for any number of FORD ONLY items , such as fasteners and etc. so that you can not work on them without buying their tools first.
The security features are definitely something you will need to contact the dealer about.

There is a spray product that I used a long time ago to remove the vinyl letters off a boat. It worked great just can't remember the name. Check with an auto paint supplyer.
