Aircondition not working....just blowing warm air.....fan is working

I have 2001 Montero Sport XLS..While driving last month ...airconditioning stoped blowing cold air all of sudden....The fan is working but only blowing warm air.....what could be the problem???

i have same problem (just blowing warm air) compressor seems to work tho .. lately it only worked occasionally but now nada..

plus radio also quit working too. i checked fuses and they seem ok.

its a 2004 montero 8000miles ( not sure about warranty ,i will call them )

people talk about radio codes, but i have no idea where to enter such codes..

any help appreciated

Either you are out of coolent or the compressor is not working.

First check the fuses, then lift the hood and have a friend turn the air on. The compressor should cycle, if not take it to a mechanic. If it does cycle you are low on freon, take it to a mechanic for a system charge. Make sure they check for leaks first.

2001 montero sport xls sport horn on my alarm how do i stop it i pulled the fuse but it is still goint

You need to determine if it's the horn or the alarm. My Montero (not Sport) had 3 horns. All 3 of which go off w/ the Alarm, but only one is connected to the horn on the steering wheel. I could not make mine go off w/o pulling the relay under the hood.

My spring was bad in the steering wheel. I was able to bypass the wire using instructions that I actually found on a Mitsubishi Forum. Link below:

Montero sport 2000 ac. will blow real cold air for about the first 3 minutes then the air is warm. can turn and off and wait and this starts over again. will not stay cold air like before.

Sound like u have an overheating condenser fins, check the A/C Fan and the relay!

2001 dodge caravan aircondition seems to work but only when i push on the gas. if we are idle it blows hot air but when on highway it is cold air car also over heats if idle too long but cools down...

Check the cooling fans. They likely aren't working. These vehicles are common for have a bad cooling fan relay.

Aircondition fan motor changed running ok but little air through vents

Does it still sound like its on high? If so you could have your vents blocked/restricted or your blower is not blowing on high speed. Usually a blower resistor if not blowing at max or not blowing at all speeds

Make sure your fans are running. It sounds like your fans are not working all the time. With the AC on the fans should run constantly. Check fan relays and fuses.
