SOURCE: 2001 dodge ram 1500 4x4 vent hose on rear axel

The hose is only an extension to elevate the vent. Trucks have these so they can be braver about crossing axle deep water.. The plastic piece on the end is somewhat of a chk valve so the hose isn't open to dirt and road spray. It should be cliped to the frame to stay elevated.

There is no cabin heat in 2000 ford focus. The

Remove both raidiator hoses and try flushing the the radiator matrix out with fresh water refit them and run the car topping up the coolant about half a litre every minute, do this with the small pipe at the resovoir disconnected to allow it to bleed up properly, once your sure all the air is out the system put the cap and the pipe on and let it heat up, you now want to find the feed pipe to your heater matrix and disconnect it to make sure the matrix is recieving a warm and free flowing supply of water if so its your heater matrix thats blocked replace it if not then switch the engine off and locate the feed to your water pump and the pipe leaving the water pump.squeeze the pipe leaving the water pump together as hard as possible and get someone to start the engine. The flow from the water pump should push your hand apart or at least move it with some force, if not then strip and inspect the pump replace as req.Failing this then its check the thermostats time( if fitted ) Remove them submerse them in an open kettle with a thermostat and check which temp that they open at (usually around 85 deg centigrade)replace as req.If all of this is working and i doubt that you will get this far without finding something then its rip all the pipes off and check for blockages time, great fun i think not but i hope this was helpful and wish you the best of luck! b sure to give me a vote if this is helpful, thanks

Cant find drain plug for radiator? can you tell me what to look for or what it looks like?

Look near the front of the passenger side wheel well. You'll find the drain **** there.

There's a draincock down at the bottom. Open it up and drain the radiator. What I like to do next is remove the t-stat and replace waterneck. Now fill radiator with water (actually fill degas bottle) and run engine with upper hose removed at radiator. Flush until only clean clear water comes out of hose. Drain radiator, replace t-stat, fill radiator with coolant and you're done.

Hope helped with this; remember rated this help. Good luck.

How to replace a belt tensioner on a 2001 ford focus

Creating More Workspace:
It is necessary to remove the CAC to inlet manifold pipe (drivers side) i.e. the wide, black pipe bolted to the top of the engine, to gain access to the P.S. pump and move the Engine Coolant Resevoir to one side.
Also, to make the process easier and create additional space, it may be helpful to remove the following additional items from the car:

  • fuel filter (and plastic retaining clip).
  • oil filter (to make access easier to the nuts bolts and pipes from below the car)
  • the EGR cooler connection pipe (optional).
Essential Items:

  • 15mm Deep, Hex Socket and large 15mm Ring Spanner - tensioner mounting nuts
  • E8 Torx Spanner for removing 3 studs with T40 Torx ends (method 2 only)
  • 18mm (or 3/8W, 7/16BS) Crowfoot wrench for removing union nut on HP pipe power steering pump. (method 1 only)
  • 10mm ring or combination spanners, long and short (P.S. Pump).
  • 10mm, hex socket ( narrower 3/8" drive preferred) - power steering pump bolts (Methods 1 and 2)
  • Hose Clamp (clamping bottom hose power steering pump)
  • Teflon seal / o-ring for union on HP Line, Power Steering Pump or new union (See Notes 2 & 3)

Improper hose conection water coming out exhaust.

If your shure that a hose is on wrong then there is a place it goesonto that is also wrong . Two wromgs. The only place that a hse could be on wrong is at the exhaust asperater tube that hooks the EGR vavle to the exaust manifold. The heater hoses hook next to each other behind the engine going though the firewall. Follow these hoses back to the motor and see that they don't connect to the pipe on the lower left side of the exaust manifold. If its doing that remove it and see if you can find another hose the same size that will reach the exhaust tube and connect it and vise versa connect the other hose there. The Hoses can be alright though and the engine has a bigger problem a blown head gasket or cracked head. On some models the catalist converter has a hose hooked to it remove it and see itf water comes out, if shouldn't but if it does follow it back to the engine and unhook it there. If water ( Coolant comes out ) ( You may Have to add coolant not water to the cooling system to tell ) then this connection should be connected to a heater hose that you found going thogh the firwall. If you still dont find the problem and the cooling system holds presure and the water coming out the tailpipe is coolant and the engine runs OK ( I dought it). All engines produce a little water when running mainly when run shortly and not warmed up, it will appear black in color and not smell like antifreze. A prankster could have put the garden hose or man hose up the tailpipe to worry you some suspect those that helped point out the water in the first place. The exhaust hoses hook up to the air cleaner housing and pipe and the water hoses hook to the firewall a pipe on the back of the block and a short pipe hooked to the water pump. Repair manuels have pictures of the hoeses in the cooling system chapters.
