Generally for "space saver spares" it is 50 mph MAX speed and 50 miles range. The specifics for your spare are usually written on this tire sidewall and also in the owner manual.
The handling, turning and braking are greatly affected when using the spare tire and she should drive with great caution. The spare should only be driven on to make it to the nearest repair station.

I do not know the maximum distance, but there should be a wear indicator on the tire. Usually the max speed on doughnut tires is around 50 mph but the owners manual will clarify. Usually the spare will have a max speed posted on it somewhere with a sticker.
Please let me know if I can further assist you.

Could the drivetrain get damaged from driving on a spare?

probably find that the spare is loose on the wheel studs or flat
Spare tires are just that spare--- and should be the same as the other tires and pumped up
If the spare is a "skinny" spare , it's purpose is to get you to a tire shop to have the flat repaired or replaced
Legally it is not an every day driver tire
But --NO --it will not damage the drive train.

How do you fix a flat tire

there are a lot of quick fixes for tyres but generally anything sprayed into the tyre will not allow a proper repair
Replace the tyre with the spare and have a tyre shop carry out the repair. The case of the tyre has to drilled out to get the puncture repair plug in place and the rubber inside the case has to be perfectly clean so that the plug flap will adhere to the rubber for a good seal
anything you spry in will prevent this from happening
You may have to replace the tyre if you have been running on a flat tyre as the condition destroys the inner side walls.

Can not remove the knob on top of the spare tire of a 2008 Prius. I can get the plastic knob to turn but it won't come off. It feels like the knob is separated from the bolt inside or the threads...

You have to smash or cut off the plastic knob, and then use a tool to take out the bolt.

Remember though to first let the air out of the tyre before you try this.
It is likely that the tyre was inflated after the bolt had been screwed in, thus the air pressure actually caused the tyre to widen and grip the securing bolt too tightly.

Driving from 60 mpg to 70 mpg the car vibrates

I have the same problem on a Prius 2013 which is new. I've had it to the dealer many times. Front tires were replaced. Tires were balanced several times. Toyota says this is normal. I had a 2008 Prius which did not have this problem. No way is this normal to have the car vibrate and shudder between 60 & 70. Above 70 it smooths out. I like to drive at 65 and that is where the vibration is the worst. I can feel it in the steering wheel, the seat and the floor. My GPS on the dash shakes back and forth

How far and how fast can you drive on a spare tire (for 2008 prius)

If the spare is the same size as the other tires you can drive like you normally would, but if it's just a doughnut you shouldn't go over 45mph, it will get you wherever you need to get a new tire installed, but I would not recomend driving it that way more than absolutely necessary.

ABS and Brake warning lights on together

Space saver spares are only designed to use in an emergency to drive at LOW speed to the nearest repair shop to get the standard size tire repaired or replaced. They are designed to not leave you stranded, not to use as a long term/high speed replacement. Repair or replace the flat tire, put it back on and if the lights do not go out on their own, reset them or have them reset. Most auto shops and parts places (O'Reilly's, NAPA, etc.) have the programmer to reset them. Most of the time they will do it for free.

Spare tire location?

With the new 2008 models, the spare tire was moved from the rear of the van to a spot below the front seats. The lug for the tire winch is located under a round cover in the floor just in front of and between the two front seats. If you look under the van, you will see the black tire-shaped cover for the spare.
