If you have heavy white smoke or steam coming out of the exhaust, you have engine coolant getting into the combustion chambers. Whether the antifreeze mixture is mixed strong enough to give an "antifreeze" smell is questionable. Also, the smell of burning antifreeze does not smell like antifreeze that is simlpy steaming. Burning antifreeze will burn your eyes and choke you, steaming antifreeze just has a sweet smell to it.

White smoke is water, turns to vapor when heated. Sounds like small hole in head gasket. Good luck with it.

If it doesn't smell like sweet then you most likely got a bad tank of gas. Just to be safe keep an eye on your engine temp. and coolant levels.

When you say "sometimes", whad do you mean exactly? When cold? When warm? When accellerating?
White exhaust smoke (which has a sweet smell) is often an indication of a blown head gasket. You'll need a compression test or test the antifreeze against exhaust gas contamination. Although the compression test will tell you more about the contition of the head gasket.
Where exactly does the white smoke come from under the hood? Maybe there's a puncture somewhere on the radiator hose or heater hose and the antifreeze sprays on the exhaust? Please check. There still is a tiny bit of hope it's not the gasket...

When i start white smokes comes out why

mine does the same thing.. it is a sign that you are burning oil kiddo..either that or antifreeze is finding its way into the engine through a crack or bad gasket.. check for oil smell and moist soot at the tailpipe, or a sweet smell if antifreeze..now if its a steam like smoke..thats normal byproduct of the burning fuel and goes away once the exhaust pipes and muffler heat up enough to blow out all the condensate water...

White smoke when reved up. No loss of fluids or coolant in the oil. Just oil-like smell burning out the tailpipe with big puff of white smoke

White smoke on startup could be a head gasket leak between the water jacket and the cylinder. Won't always show in the oil. Antifreeze makes it smell oily or sweet. Compression test will tell for sure. Bluish is oil that was burned. White is usually water or oil into exhaust after combustion.

325i BMW emitting white smoke

You are smelling burning antifreeze. likely a head gasket but only testing will determine that for sure...Do not drive it. get it to a shop or more damage is likely.
