Fan problems!!! Hey Jason, I have a 330ci 2001 where the fan was pulsing for a while and then it suddenly stopped working all together. The display indication is still working but the fan is not. Any simple solutions? Thanks for your time. Don

Is there a separate control module for the fan or is it inbuilt in the fan assembly itself? Check the power to the fan, if there is power there then consider trying a new fan if not check fuse before trying to locate fan control module.

Which Fan Motor?
How did you establish the Alternator is not working? Did you use a volt meter or did the battery go flat or did the dash warning light come on?

2001 BMW 330ci Blower Fan quit working

sounds like the resister for the fan is failing. it is located under the dash on the duct work for the blower (fan). you will see two wires going to it. unscrew the bolts or screws that hold it in and replace it with a new one. it should work fine after that.

A/C and heat just suddenly quit working

It is most likely the fan motor's internal brushes have worn out. Either you will have to replace the magnetic brushes, or replace the motor all together. There is a tube and wire harness that will have to be removed. Than there is 3 or 4 bolts that hold motor to firewall.

My 2001 volvo v70 lower center console has stopped working.

Had the same problem. Wiring harness (under the driver's seat) junction had come loose. Pulled apart, cleaned, put back together, everything works fine.

It sounds like your thermostat is shot. If you have an automatic your you may want to check the lines running into the trany...They can all work together.

Fan belt broken

879cd4b.gifthe tesioners (a/c and alternator) are where you will release the tension on the belts. usually the will be a 16mm hex that you can turn and hold to release the spring pressure from the belt.

A/C not pushing cold air and low coolant message "was" displaying

Make sure the AC FAN & RAD fan is operating properly. It sounds like u may be dealing w 2 problems. Start w the basics, ck the fans. When u put ac on fan should go on, rad fan works w temp of motor (mid range on gauge should activate)

A/c fan does not work

It's called a Final Stage Resistor.Cost about 85.00-120.00$

Remove the plastic cover behind the glove box (passenger side) look toward the drivers side close to the bulkhead and it will be there, disconnect the plug, release the clip and pull back gentally (don't break the clips!) it's pretty easy.

It's made out of aluminium and has fins.

2001 525 AC fan

The indoor and outdoor unit have separate breakers,so one can run with the other. It would not cool. Check the separate breakers to be sure their on.Take the cover off the t-stat, you will see a red and a green wire.remove these and touch them together. If the fan runs you probably have a bad thermostat. If it does not .The problem is inside the indoor unit. There is a disconnect or breaker on the cover. remove it, pull the cover off and put the dis connect back in.If the fan hum ms or turns slowly you have a bad capacitor or fan motor. Try the cap. first,if still not running the motor is most likely the problem.Should the motor not try to run or hum,it could be a blown fuse, you will see it in a small circuit board if you have one.It could be the circuit board itself,or a bad fan relay.A meter can help you trace this if you have one.Be careful as there is 220 volts powering this unit.Good luck
