The impeller can fall off the water pump internally and it will not leak, but no coolant will circulate.

SOURCE: how do I replace the transmission coolant lines

Take a small 90 degree pick. Inspect the fitting closely. Use the pick to "roll" the retaining clip off the fitting. The line will simply pull once this is done. U can install the clip first on reinstallation (inspect them closely) and then simply push the line into the fitting. It will "click" into place. Note u will have to orient the line perfectly to push in.

SOURCE: I have changed my transmission filter and fluid

CHECK TO SEE IF THERE IS AN OVERDRIVE SWITCH LOCATED IN THE SHIFTER! USUALLY YOU CAN PUSH THIS SWITCH TO DISENGAGE THE OVERDRIVE, OR RE-ENGAGE IT!

My transmission fluid in my 06 Grand Prix gxp got to 220 is that bad

That's high, but not terribly so. Transmissions typically run about 180, but on my Silverado the trans temp gauge doesn't show red until 250. Smell the trans fluid, if it doesn't smell burned, it should be ok. If unsure, change the fluid. I don't recommend a power flush, just drain the pan, change filter, measure what was in the pan, add that amount of new fluid and of course, correct why it got that hot in the first place.

2001 chevy 2500 hd 4x2 allison trans seems to loose pressure after coming to a stop, have to rev engine for a few seconds before it pulls again, whats up with that? 88800 miles

I would start
by changing both trans filters and fluid, makesure you put dex VI in trans then if still having problems take to someone with a Tech 2 scanner and have them reset the trans adapts and try that, what it does is resets trans to factory (new) mode and then as you drive the truck it will adjust to your driving habits and shift points, but loosing pressure makes me think one of your filters is partially plugged...there is a spin on cartridge and the internal one in pan, change em both..good luck

Od/off trans temp light comes on. had fluid and

your trans cooler is restricted. most likely it is part of your radiator and if it is restricted you will either need to replace the radiator or install an aftermarket cooler. have your trans cooler flow checked and go from there

1995 chevy silverado making a whinning noise

Sounds like it's starving for fluid. The noise you hear is probably a clogged filter. It it's been going on for a long period of time, you may have trans damage. I would recommend changing the fluid and filter and add some Lucas trans additive. I'm not much on additives but this stuff works. Hope this helps. Phil

2005 escape auto transmission maintenance

You will have to pull the pan off the bottom of the trans, the filter is inside, this is a very messy job and you will most likely get trans fluid everywhere, I would suggest a shop do this unless you have a good floor jack and 4 jack stands, you will also need a large drain pan to catch the fluid. If you do this job do not overfill the trans, get it hot before you top it off with fluid, add 2 quarts right away and then keep adding until it is just below the fluid full line on the dip stick.

PS the other post is a fluid flush and does not include a pan removal or filter change.

TRANSMISSION OIL COOLER

Change the fluid and filter, use synthetic trans fluid, you may cure your issue this way, have you run self test on the trans for trouble codes?
