Can i replace an oil sensor in the dashboard 1999 passat tdi

it can only be 3 places , CKP sensor ASE/SAE named.

front of crank
rear of crank
and yes those odd ducks, center of crank huge tone wheel.

what engine displacement is it,. wow not told. 2.0L TDI"
engines sold cars world wide can be 6 or more. nobody can guess it./

behind front damper pulley

from the service manual ,hard to find but here it is. 14 and 8 is the tone wheel reluctor.

if no DTC errors from, it leave it be !!

Might be the oil pump itself or main bearing are worn out. Also check oil pick up pipe strainer if is clean.

Shut off your Volkswagen Passat before replacing a fuse. Find the fuse box on the driver's side of the car, under a plastic cover on dashboard to the left side, door open.

Check sensor by diconnecting it. if light goes off sensor is bad or you have low pressure.

Exhaust pressure sensor a possibility if it has a DPF (diesel particulate filter). Has it had its fuel pump recall, the oil pressure light could be just the constant cranking and running the battery low.

check your oil level coz when it flashes yellow or orange its a warning that ur low on oil if it turns red dont drive the car untill u get oil in it and ull need fully synthetic oil

You have the wrong KEY if it won't turn any locks.
You can use the KEY fob from another Passat.
The one you have was most likey not the original
and the car was reprogrammed to except that FOB.

The Fuse panel Is inside the DRIVES side.
Open the Driver door. Look at the side of the DAShboard.
THat Giant "B" Shapped plastic cover pops off.

Check the fuses...IF any are broken,black or no good.
REplace them
