My 2006 impala blows air, but it is not cold at all. What could be the problem?

I would recommend that you raise the hood, locate the air conditioner compressor, turn on the ac in the car, and see if the compressor kicks on. If it does not, then you will need to have the ac charged. If it does kick on, then you need to pay attention to how it cycles, meaning kicking on/off, if it is frequently, then you need to charge it as well.

My 2006 chev Impala (V6) blows cold air out of the heater until I raise the rpm to like 1500 (or so). Engine coolant overflow is empty but when I pull the rad cap off the rad is full. Could this be an air...

These cars easily get air trapped in the coolant system. Park the car somewhere so that you car get the right front of the car as high as possible. Take the coolant filler cap off and start the car. You should see air bubbles appear as it bleeds it self. Once coolant starts to overflow put the cap back on. It should be fine now but if not repeat again.
