My 2006 impala blows air, but it is not cold at all. What could be the problem?

Does the air blow cold? Sounds more like a sign of undercharged. Putting gauges on it would be the best step.

sounds like could be low on freon if it is it wont allow it the compressor to run

heater core could be plugged up. flush cooling system.

check your prestone level and also get it flushed. I had the same problem and that fixed it

time to change the thermostat buy a chiltons manule and follow the directions you can get a manule from chapters or indago on line

temp should rise while idling unless thermostat is stuck open and not letting heat build up

CK FOR VAC LEAKING TO TEMP BLEND DOOR

These cars easily get air trapped in the coolant system. Park the car somewhere so that you car get the right front of the car as high as possible. Take the coolant filler cap off and start the car. You should see air bubbles appear as it bleeds it self. Once coolant starts to overflow put the cap back on. It should be fine now but if not repeat again.

1 Inspect Cooling System Mix Coolant level low or flow is restricted. 2 Inspect Thermostat Thermostat stuck closed 3 Inspect Heater Control Valve Leaking or defective heater control valve. here something to help u
