95 mustang 3.8 has no throttle response, spitting and popping. Replaced fuel filter, no change. I can feather the gas till its up to speed then let off n the engine will continue to pull, then suddenly fall on its face. Any ideas what part could cause this.

Have a muffler shop check the exhust for a plugged cat, also could be the mas air flow meter. or really any number of things. the good thing is this is an OBD2 car and autozone should be able to pull codes from the reader port under the dash. i would probly start there then try the muffler shop.

Have you changed the fuel filter? Possibly restricted. Check engine light on? Scan for codes that may pertain to this issue. Possible throttle position sensor or throttle actuator.

I have a 2000 ford mustang with a 3.8l v6. Well I know it had been sitting for a while. But anyways when I go to start it, it will try forever to start if I tap the gas while turning the key it will start...

yes your plug wires are bad. this sounds like a fuel system problem (ie plugged filter, flat injector weak pump) a good tune up will take care of it all. the Ford dealer will have all the correct factory parts as well as ford trained technicians to do the job right. also in today's market place you would be surprised how competitively priced they are.

Low power

have you checked for a clogged fuel filter or a vacuum leak.

fuel filter, Dirty throttle body, or it probably needs a good tune up, If you clean the throttle body, use the right spray.Do that before you change the plugs

I have 95 silverado 5.7 rebuilt motor it starts good runs good

You are not getting enough of one or more of the following;
1. Fuel 2. Air 3. Spark 4. Vacuum
See possible causes and fixes below 1. Fuel -If carburated, may need to be rebuilt, no way to tell w/o dissassembly and looking at valves/jets -If fuel injected, injectors could be dirty or malfunctioning, are they old?
Q -  does engine run smooth at any speed? If not, not all cylinders may be firing
2.  Air - is air filter clean? Is there debris in air box?
3. Spark - does engine sound like all cylinders firing? If so, spark should be fine. But have you checked plugs recently? Changing all plugs, especially b/c V8, could really help Check for gap and corrossion/wear patterns to ascertain engine/cylinder running conditions. If you are unsure how to read plugs, then brush up on the subject (like I have to).
4.  Vacuum - MOST OVERLOOKED ISSUE in general engine work, all engines require vacuum to run various valves and components, vacuum leaks are more easily tested using gauge, bought/borrowed or performed in shop.
Check all these things, maybe fuel filter, too.
Special note: there is a chance if you have run tank (or someone else did) to empty repeated times that debris from tank has built up in fuel pump's internal filter, which is before fuel line filter. Only by removing and inspecting pump can this be checked. Inspect all previously mentioned items, then check fuel pump. If all that doesn't work, then give me a terrible grade and repost and I'll try again...
