Firs you had to remove engine o?l pan (not Alway easy) and remove connecting rod cap Kind of car and kind of engine had help a lot!

If you have to ask it's way over your head. Rod bearings are about as deep into an engine as it gets. Best bet is to pull the engine and take it to a machine shop.

Thats going to be a tricky pull. you can actually do BOTH methods fro pulling that motor. Which ever is easier for you would be better.

As far as the rod knock. Rod knock simply means that the rod bearing has spun and is no longer a smooth surface. potentially, you could pull the motor and replace just that rod and bearing if the crankshaft was unaffected. the majority of the time, more work needs to be done. I think in this case, it may be cheaper to remove the motor and replace the crank and bearings. A replacement used motor will probably run about 1k if you can find one at a yard.

what is the motor from? Typically if you changed out all those parts already and its still a heavy knock, you're looking at crank bearings. How did you change the connecting rod bearings without the crank bearings? or are you referring to something else? I would assume its connecting rod bearings are the issue, if main bearings go you would see an issue in oil pressure.

remove engine from car and install on an engine stand, remove head and oil pan, disconnect lowe rod bearing cap and remove piston through the top, measure crank with a micrometer to get proper bearing size, install rod onto piston and install using ring compressor then install on crank shaft, lube well, reassemble engine and install in car

remove the engine oil pan

Mains Stage 1 83nm
Mains Stage 2 167nm

Big ends Stage 1 29nm
Big ends Stage 2 45 - 60 degrees

Yes you will have to raise engine to pull pan, but more importantly is why do you need to change rod bearings? If they need replacing you will probably have to change the mains as well as rings and so on. If you have run it knocking, you could have damaged the crankshaft and new bearings won't stay. Suggest you check a little deeper before going to all this expense.
