If it is your turn signals, more and likely radios can cause that. As well has a flasher relay. Locate flasher relay and either test or replace. And as for your stereo if there is an after market stereo incorrect wiring can cause hazards to stay on or not work same as turn signals.
1) Click the hazards on and off a few times to exercise the switch.
2) Replace the flasher timer relay.
3) I believe that this system has a little computer center, about the size of a machbox and it is located under the dash. Swap this out with one from a junkyard.
Fast clicking is caused by a higher than normal current being applied. Normally a short or a aftermarket relay that requires less current to switch. Sounds like the entire multifunction switch is bad.
Check the indicator switch, that seems to be all that is left in the system, except the flasher relay, depending on whether the vehicle uses the same one for the hazards or not.
Yes, you are on the right track. More than likely it is a defective flasher relay as one relay controls turn signal and hazard flash. The flasher relay is located behind the left side of the instrument panel.
Make sure the relay is plugged in all the way. When I replaced mine it was taped in and the new one wouldn't stay in without a little bit of duct tape.
i have a similar problem but my left signal works, when i turn the right on it just does an annoying buzz sound. if you can think of any explination for such shinanogins help would be greatly appreciated
