Hiya, On Tuesday just gone I noticed that the windows were not demisting, and had to keep wiping the inside of the windows, I would start off in the car and the windows would mist up whilst driving. Tried both cool and hot mist but no joy, air is coming up onto the windows, the water in the radiators are full, and new radiator only put in last year (November). Has anyone got any suggestions as what could be causing this? Im a home care working and the car is a big part of my job, my knowledge of cars is very low and im worrying so much about this. Thanks in advance, any advise appriciated.

If you have been using the air conditioning lately and the weather has been humid then if the a/c drain pipe could be blocked and water can sit on top of the heater core and steam gets blown onto the demister when you try to demist.

I would suggest that you have a small leak in your heater core. It does not take much of a leak to cause moisture on the windows. Eventually your radiator fluid will start to go down. This will not get any better and you need to replace the heater core. You may soon smell a sweet antifreeze smell as well and if you drive that way your interior will get sticky. Get it checked ASAP

SOURCE: Cooling fan won't work

hello,

cooling fan not working could be a lot of things.

first , test the fan itself, put a direct 12 volts to the fan terminal and watch if it would run.( be careful of the blades ), if it does not run, could be carbon brush. replace if necessary.

if it runs, check relay circuits. one for A/C and the other one for high temperature of engine.

check also for fuses with label " cooling fan" or "radiator fan". check all fuses just to be sure.

tnx 4 using Fixya,

Drcool

SOURCE: external radiator resevoir full - radiator not and car is cool

Yes there is supposed to be a suction if the hose is hooked up correctly. When the car cools all the way down it is supposed to pull coolant back in to the radiator from the resevoir. If it is not woring you may not have it sealed right. Make sure the radiator cap is all the way on correctly. You may have to push down and turn it some more. It has to have a seal to create suction.

Aircon/heater/rear window demister not working.

Youes probably begot a bad connection inside the fuse block. You can try cleaning fuse contacts with a really small nail file or something to re-establish contact.

My demister in rear windscreen not working

Do you have rear window tinting?( the plastic sheet type ) If so,check that the edges over the demister tapes have not curled up pulling the tapes off the window and diconnecting them. If they need repair, a small bottle of tape repair solution should be available from a spare parts retailer.
