You need to have OBII scan performed. The fluctuating idle sinus like a MAF sensor, Temp & fan are separate issues. Get scan done, that should identify exact issues.

2002 Audi A4 Quattro 3.0 V6 base standard 6 speed. The exhaust is getting red hot at idle need help?

Question edited for clarity, (all the typos)!
Question moved from Miscellaneous.

Perfectly normal. The coolant and radiator cools the engine, but at idle there is no passing air to cool the manifold and exhaust. Just make sure there are no codes and that you are not running lean.

Have an issue with 2010 Audi A4 (170) where the engine revs are fluctuating when it is idling. No issues noted while driving with engine over 1400 Rpm. any ideas ?

You can take it to most auto parts stores such as O'Reilly's or AutoZone and they will scan for diagnostic trouble codes (DTC) that may be set in the computer.

Idle fluctuates on 1995 f250, sometimes dies, sometimes revs, no apparent vaccum issues, IAC with scan tool reads low voltage issue. Could this be vaccum, charging system, faulty computer? Problem is...

Engine stalls cold or RPM fluctuates at idle up and down or dies near idle.

This problem is commonly caused by a dirty automatic idle speed control valve and throttle valve but always run a OBD2 fault code as well as the cleaning procedure. Buy a can of throttle valve cleaner (do not use carburetor spray cleaner!) from NAPA or Carquest (made by CRC chemicals) and spray it into the air intake while the engine is running, use up about 1/2 the can, engine will try to stall hold the speed up, shut it down and let it soak for 30 minutes, restart and blow out the remaining fluid, shut it down and disconnect the negative battery cable for 5 Min's to reset the base idle control. If the above cleaning doesn't cure your issues you need to have the computer controlled automatic idle speed control system diagnosed and repaired by a dealer or electronic engine control repair shop.

How to fix this problem?

A big vacuum leak will do this it can be from a open PCV valve sticking open EGR valve to a sticking a IAC (idle air control valve) sticking open. You basically have something get stuck and closing.

Should the oil pressure gauge fluctuate with speed

The oil pressure guage will fluctuate with engine RPM. At idle it should be approximately 20 lbs./sq.in, at high revs about 50-60 lbs./sq.in. Hope this helps any concerns you may have. Good luck!

1991 audi v8 quattro

i would check the throttle butterfly for a carbon build up that may keep it from closing completely. have seen this cause stalling when returning to idle rpm. Best to try to remove and clean from both sides to get good results.this is just one of many possible problems. Hope it helps if so please let me know with a reply and good luck
