For your car, if the remote does not open the car door after the battery in the fob has been replaced, do this.
1. Get next to the car with doors locked
2. Push the Unlock button 4 times in succession as you count, one, two...
3. The remote receiver should recognize your fob now
As for the dash LED, it may be unplugged somewhere. The DI cassette has little to do with it. LEDs have an ginormous life span and should not go dead - at least for the life of your car. Does it EVER flash?
the lights are most likely the third brake light on the decklid... small line of led brake lights small unit.. i would clean the ignition switch with some quick start and cycle the key in and out to clean up the contact on the bottom some times soda or coffe gets in there and makes the car think that the cars key is in the ignition
u might have an aftermarket alarm 2 if u see a flashing red led light on dash look for black box under dash if u see fuses that are in that wiring of the black box pull them out and then try to start or look for a valet mode switch under dash turn on key and flick switch then try 2 start
