My 2000 Falcon Forte Au 2 headlights just stopped working, but the dash lights stayed on. Tried high beam but they flickered off. Then all dash warning lights started coming on and off. Battery/ABS and fuel stayed on, others came on and off?? Hazards helped me get car home as I was close..luckily Will check battery drain (particularly boot and glove box), but as Ive only had the car for a month, I dont know if this has happened before. If battery is low, would it turn its own headlights off? Will check fuses too. Help please..any ideas

SOURCE: DRL and High Beam do not work right on Honda Accord EX 1998

Some time back I found some data on a similar website suggesting that the Day Light Running circuit board, just under the steering column, developed cracks in some of the soldered joints. Your high beams should also be affected with loss of day light running lights.
Resoldering repaired the continuity of the circuits. Ours is now working quite reliably. Some of the defective areas developed slight brownish discoloration, that's how I was told to recognise the areas to be resoldered. Hope this will help you solve your problem.

hi on some uk models with cruise control thet as you know trips out as you press foot brake ? one of the prob's with what you describe ? indicating operative but not setting ? just have a look around brake pedal area near the pushrod that pushes master cylinder/power vac you may find either a vacuum small diam hose connected fom power vac to a small cyl nearby that as brakes operated this cyl which has hose trips off and releases c/control ? or your car may ? have electric solenoid switch adaption that works as brakes applied and trips off c/control so you are looking for any vac leak audable ?? or elec device/switch that may have fault or is stuck in off position resulting in c/control being told brakes pedal pressed ?? the uk galaxy has the vac type c/c and the vac mini hose splits renew pipe and working !

Ok I have seen tons of posts about this issue with the Pontiac Sunfire, but no clear solution. I have a 2001 Sunfire the yesterday the Day Running Lights quit working. My passenger side head light will...
First check the R/S headlight fuse in the dash fuse panel (left side), second make sure the R/S low beam headlight bulb filament isn't blown, both these scenarios will do what you are saying. The DRL's work when both low beam lights are in series, thus only 6v going to each bulb at reduced brilliance. The high beam is a totally separate circuit controlled by the multifunction switch. The DRL relay is controlled by the Body Control Module, grounded there, and it will also illuminate the service vehicle soon light. It could also be a bad ground at G204. Its on the steering column support bracket.

2000 Toyota Celica GTS headlights out
The globes filament for low beam are most likely both blown . Check if the plug is getting voltage when the low beam is on or buy a replacement globe and check if this is the case.
How do you know both low beams stopped at the same time ?
They most likely blown at different times but you notice it when both go out and you have zero light. Had this happen to me on a ford falcon EA . Was the globes.
Try not to handle the glass on the replacement globes if Halcyon globes .

Head lights will not turn on.
The relay for the headlight is stuck locate it and replace it. Get a cd repair manual on Ebay motors to locate the electrical component.
