You need to reset w/OBII scanner to reset lights. Any good parts store can do it for you and most will FREE

How do I remove the service notice from the dash board? It's for an Audi A3 2006 model.

Service reset:

Note: This reset method applies only to vehicles with a fixed maintenance schedule. All other vehicles: reset using special VAG equipment, or similar.

1. Turn the ignition ON.
2. Pull out button [2].
3. "SERVICE IN ???? KM" or "SERVICE !" appears on the display.
4. Pull button [2] until the indicator shows: "----".
5. Press the reset button [1] within 5 seconds.

The system is reset.

My a3 says safe when I turn it on and won't start.

Hello,
Just a simple hint. Just try reset ECU that will fix the problem if its a minor related to electronic.
Still wont start means you need to go to shop to get curbed .

How do I reset service computer warning Audi A3 2009

If you have a A3, 2009+ A4, 2005+ A6 or 2004+ A8, or a Q7 and are using the after market software:
Go to guided functions, go to service work, go to reset service light, or something of that nature, and follow the on screen prompts.

Change rear light bulb

Pull the tail light assembly out.
Owner manual has instruction on how to remove tail light for bulb replacement.
