SOURCE: 1999 toyota avalon horn works intermitely

I would suggest to you to have the spiral cable (or 'clockspring') replaced. This is the electrical unit that transfers power to the air bag, the horn and the cruise control.

It is located right under the seering wheel.

Your description of the issue indicates to me that your spiral cable is loose, and making intermittant contact. If the vehicle had an air-bag deployment, this cable-device should have been changed.

SOURCE: how to reset the check engine light on a 1999 toyota avalon xls

You need to have a code reader/scan tool hooked up to retrieve the code/s that triggered the engine light. You can have this done at most auto parts stores for free. Try Auto zone, Checkers, Napa, or Murray's. The engine light will eventually go out if the computer does not receive any codes after many cycles turning the ignition on and off. It will not go out if there are codes still present. After you've retrieve the code/s bring them back here and we will have a better understanding of what caused them.

Where is the PCV Valve for a 2002 Toyota Avalon, 3 liter, 6 cylinder engine located?

Two common places to find the pcv valve is the intake manifold or the cam cover. There have been engines, principally Ford, where it has been located directly in the crankcase.

Regardless of the location there will be a hose connecting the intake manifold to usually the cam or rocker cover with the valve found at one end or the other.

Time wise, how often should I change the PCV valve in my 1999 Toyota Avalon?

Really depends on how well the engine us running. If you pull it out and shake it, hearing it rattle, it is good. They are usually cheap so every couple years might be good, or overkill.

Where is the pcv valve located on 4 cylinder 1999 toyota tacoma.

Hi Anonymous:
Sometimes it helps to locate the PCV valve if you can find the tube that connects the engine crankcase to the intake manifold. The PCV valve will be a thumb sized (My thumb anyway) metal (or maybe plastic) cylinder that is part of the tube assembly.

Blue smoke coming out of my 1999 Toyota Avalon what do I need to do

Usually a sign of worn piston rings and/or valve guides.
If the oil has been changed and the PCV system is working, I doubt you can do much other than rebuild the engine.
V6 Toyota engines have been known to build up sludge in the engine if the oil is not changed regularly.

Where exactly the location of pcv valve

If you are in front of the engine, in the rear left, by coil or plug #1, pull the hose and pcv, in some engines you need to un screw it.
