Subaru forester 1999

you need to check for fuel pressure next.
Could be many things, but a fuel pump or fuel pressure regulator would be prime suspects.

Have you checked the power; on the fuses, the coil, the power regulator, and the battery?

its to the right of the ignition coil pack under the wires on the drivers side.

Disconnect the fuel line from the filter and check if there is fuel when you prime it. If there is NOT fuel, you have a lead. If there IS fuel coming out, it might not be enough pressure. I had to replace an O-ring on the fuel pump assembly. Hope I helped.

For 1999 Subaru Truck Forester AWD 2.5L MFI 4cyl the Oxygen Sensor is located under hood, center, rear engine area, mounted on catalytic converter.

Generally, Bank 1 is front and Bank 2 is rear.

I also have a -99 Forester S turbo with the same problem. Runs like clockwork between failiures but all of a sudden engine turns but will not start. The workshop recomended fuelfilter replacement but I thaught it could have something to do with the immobilizer. what have you tried and ruled out?

thew fuel pump relay will be located in the power distribution box under the hood it is a square fuse like device either black or grey in color

has to be fuel /air / or electrical....otherwise internal mechanical ....is timing off?
