I have a 2005 montana with a electrical problem. The battery wearning light comes on about 15 sec after starting and will stay on however if u turn the right blinker on it goes out but all the lights(RADIO, DASH, HEADLIGHTS ETC..) on the van dim each time the blinker blinks and it only does this when the van is running! AND THE LIGHTS WILL NOT BLINK WHEN VAN IS NOT RUNNING WITH THE BLINKER ON! I've replaced the alternator but that did not fix the problem. And if u pull the rear turn signal bulb out the battery light goes away and the lights want dim or if u pull the electrical connection off the alternator while the van is running the battery light goes away and blinker works with out all the lights diming down each time it blinks! Any ideas would greatly be appreciated thanks..

Sounds like a bad battery.

there is a code in the PCM that needs to be checked out. a light the stays on tells you this a flashing light tells you what ever the problem is can cause a running problem possible engine damage and is allowing the emissions to go out of range.

First, a bad battery doesn't turn the light on. Just A bad alternator or ECM. Start the car. put a volt meter on the + and - sides of the battery. If it reads 12 to 15 volts (closer to 15 for a new alternator). The alternator is good. And is charging. The problem is the wiring or the ECM. It can be bypassed to turn the light off. I just did it a week ago. Problem is , I don't have the wiring diagram for your car. Don't get a book from the parts store, it won't tell you. Go to alldata or Mitchell and purchase a manual. It's online and lasts a year. But they give you good electrical schematics...

Something happened with the Wiring if this did not happen before you changed the battery...

try unhooking the hot battery cabel for 30 sec and then re hook your traction controle motor is staying engaged

Check your car battery voltage, below 11 volts,replace battery. It's a electrical issue.

I had the same problem on my Dodge Caravan. When driving, all of a sudden the gauges would flake out and all the dummy lights would come on but car would remain running. Checked the battery and the alternator, both were fine. I finally figured out that it was the battery. Funny, the post that goes inside the battery had come loose. I was able to pull it out. Once I replaced the battery, the problem went away.
