The resistor is located in bottom of heater box under right side of dash it will be close to blower motor. the wires from blower motor go to resistor. check the plug and replace it as well they tend to melt

2003 GMC Yukon XL blower fan intermittently doesnt turn on

Could be the blower motor, the resistor, or the control on the dash.
You'll need to check the circuit for voltage when it fails to work.

The in dash fan is only working intermittently. Usually it has plenty of power but now when it does work it has very little force. The rear seat area fan has stopped working completely. Is this a computer...

if it works in any position low-to-high then it is the blower motor. if it only works on high or works well on high but no where else it is the resistor. Good luck!

My 2001 yukon front AC fan only blows on high setting. nothing on the other fan settings.

Replace the blower motor resistor located in the blower housing under the dash on the passenger side and you will be good to go.

Blower fan low speeds don't work. Can only get the fan to work on position 3 which is too high. What might have happened such that positions 1, and 2 don't work?

it is the blower motor resistor. I do not know off of the top of my head if it is part of the climate control unit or external for your particular vehicle. However the symptoms match.

2004 F-150 XL Manual Heater-A/C controls. Heater fan now onlys works on High speed only. It did it all of a sudden with no warning. Is the problem the resistor or the Fan relay and if it is the resistor...

I just changed the resistor on a 2000 F-150 hopefully it's in the same spot. It's under the dash on the passenger side it toward the front of the truck from the glove compartment. I had to use a mirror to see it but, I'm a big guy and I'm getting old so I can't get into those tight spots anymore. But, that's the problem if you only have "high". Merry Chrsitmas!

The heater fan in my 2003 GMC Yukon XL will not turn off, even after the key is turn off, and the door is opened.

I don't know if you already fixed it, but I had the same problem on my 03 yukon, TysonRicky is right. In my case it was the blower control module. You can find it right under the glovebox. It cost me close to $100 for a new one, but very easy to replace. Can't even imagine how much it would've cost me if I had a mechanic do it.
