First of all your truck is already in first gear when your going down the road....lol
My 1994 chevy Z71 truck wont shift into first gear until after 20 m.p.h. then you have to let go the gas pedal so it will shift.After that it wont shift any more does anyone have a vacuum hose diagram or have any idea if this is a simple problem to solve?

Had a similar problem with same model pickup but would shift into third only after reaching high RPM in second @5000. There was TSB that came out about this a few years ago. I had to replace the valve body in the transmission to fix the problem and worked perfectly after that. Hope this helps!

Also own a '98 K1500 Silverado 4x4. Doesn't shift from 2nd to 3rd, Speedometer cuts out, and Anti Lock light is on. Seems to be an electrical problem, possible a module or sensor. While diagonsing the problem, truck was running in the driveway in park for about 10min. When tried driving again after no resolution, it magically was fine. Until that night when fairy dust wore off. Been to damn cold to look at for a week or so.
I HAVE A 94 k2500 with a 4l60e TRANSMISSION SHIFTS GOOD INTO 1ST AND 2ND BUT WHEN IT GOES TO GO INTO DRIVE THE ENGINE REVESE UP AND WONT SHIFT INTO GEAR Dropped pan and fluid was clean no debris at all just alittle clutch sludge in bottom of pan But now all scans look normal Can a bad solinoid cause this issue?
checked plugs and changed speed sensors
95 chevy pu 4x4 rebuilt trans replaced ign sw,and speed sensor and still have problem with not shifting up from second, like it shifts into nuetral, sometimes, other times it runs fine does hafe slight hesitation between 2 and 3 at times also.
