1996 Honda Accord Problem

Howdy,
I been trying to figure out the lighting problem on my son's 1996 Honda Accord. Turn signals, brake lights, back up lights, headlights all work, but I can seem to get the rear running lights to work. I did notice that the license plate lights aren't working, but would that effect the tail lights. The bulbs in the tail lights are good. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You need a wiring diagram to check this out, go to the public library or try to buy a factory manual on ebay, it is the best source without spending an arm and both legs the dealer will want, or just take it to the dealer, I don't recommend an independent, they just don't have the knowledge base to fix this, it may be simple and a common problem, but only a well trained dealer technician will know that.

I cannot get my air conditioner clutch on my 1996 Honda Accord EX to engage. I've checked the fuse and relay. The fuse is good but the power is not going to the relay. If I can find the power that comes to the relay, I can fix it. I need to know what activitate the relay and the power that the relay push to the clutch. I need to know where they come from.

I've been looking for a circuitry that shows it and a drawing that shows the air conditioning fan. Please help.

There could be a simple break in the circuit , thats maybe why your licence plate lights are not working.

Just go to your local HONDA garage .

A sometimes cheaper solution you could see a qualified mechanic or car electrician.

Hope this helps .

Tail lights stopped worked

The tail light or parking light is a different circuit from the turn signal and brake.
The tail light is the same as the parking light in front.
It could be a fuse or a problem with the headlight switch.

I have a 1993 honda accord i just recently lost my brake lights i put in a new brake light switch and all of my brake lights started working except my right brake lights? please help

If you don't have power to the right brake light when the switch is engaged, I would check the turn signal switch. On some models the brake circuit goes thru the turn signal switch. Also be sure and check the ground connection on the bulb socket.

1998 honda accord, with the headlights on the tail lights are on but turn signals do not work. if head lights are off turn signals work unless i apply the brake, if i apply the brake the brake lights work...

It sounds as if you have a bad earth to either one or both of your rear light clusters. If it only happens when you indicate in one direction then that is the offending side.

Car brake lights won t turn off when car is shut down 1996 Honda Odyssey

It should be your brake light switch. There is a little plate welded to the arm of the pedal that has a hole with a rubber stopper. The rubber stopper is most likely missing, or damaged. You should be able to take a flashlight and see the plate and the switch. If the hole is plugged up, you will need the brake light switch, if not, replace the plug.

89 Honda Accord brake light and turn signal seem connected

Looks as though you have earthing problems.
I would make sure that the earthing is O.K on flasher and brake.
You would then find your symptom disappear.

Hope that sorts it.

1996 honda accord no turn signal

Check the wiring in the front and back to lights for shorts to ground, if nothing is found replace the turn signal switch, be careful to disarm the airbag before doing any work on the column as the steering wheel must be pulled to replace the turn switch.
