Hello there. The Car: 2002 Nissan Sentra XE Manual 5 speed transmission 4 cylinder Engine We bought this car as a private sale from a former co worker and know it was in at least in one accident. However since we bought it it was turning over fine Until earlier this week I took her out and we stalled at a red light, I tried to start her again but She wouldn't go. It was wet out and I am still learning how to drive a standard so I figured I might have flooded the engine. So we pushed her down the road to a safe spot where we could leave the car and come back to it in the morning. The next day she still wouldn't start. The starter was trying so hard to turn the engine but the stubborn ***** just wouldn't budge. So we figured it could have been the spark plugs or the fuel pump. well spark plugs where a cheep and easy fix so we did those our selves. and when she still didn't work we had her towed to a local garage. Where they agreed that it was the fuel pump and the charged us an arm and a leg to replace it. When we picked it up at the shop She started easily and drove about a mile to our house when the car stalled out at the corner stop sign and refused to start again. Now when we try to start the internal lights come on just fine, test the head lights those are nice and bright (so I know the battery is fully charged) But the starter wont even try to engage. Now some one told me they had a problem with a similar car where there was a security system in place that would prevent the car from moving due to a worn down key. I don't think this is the case with mine because there is no security light on our car. nor do we have a Nissan Immobilizer key I guess I am just looking to see if there is anything I should try before I rip off the starter and bring it to Auto Zone to be tested. Thank you so much for your time. I hope you can help. -Aaron-James McCarn

It sounds like you just paid for a fuel pump that you did not need. What it sounds like is that you have a camshaft sensor that is faulty. They will give problems intermitenly before the completely go out on you, allowing the engine to crank, and then not. Take the stater to Autozone to have it tested, and since the car is a 2002, you can have a diagnostic ran on it to verify the issue, it takes out all of the guess work, which can be quite expensive, and save you loads of time.

Which fuse is the one for the radio in a 2002 Nissan Sentra

Look in the owner's manual in the glove box to find out.
If you glove box has no manual, call a Nissan dealer and ask them.
If you have no dealer, go to a car sales lot and find a 2002 Sentra and ask to look at the book in the glove box, politely.
God bless your efforts.

Two codes coming up on car even after fixing alot on car now need to figure out low cost ways to fix P0744 & P0722 code issues spent 1,800 on car & have spent 1,400 already in parts & labor.

you need a better mechanic that traces ALL of the possibilities of each code, not just read the code and trow in a part hoping that it's fixed ~ it can be wiring as well, not just plug in a new part as mentioned on the 2nd trouble code to the vehicle speed sensor

P0744 Torque Converter Clutch Circuit Intermittent

P0722 Output Speed Sensor No Signal

the first of the 2 looks to be more intensive to trace and find out the problem & the 0722 is the easier job for an intermediate mechanic to trace the wiring for continuity

My 2002 nissan sentra xe can't start. it wants to but it just won't turn over. it sounds like the car is out of gas but we just put gas

H Mkawaauhau, If the engine is turning on the starter but refusing to start, you may have one or more of several problems. I believe you should have a diagnostic scan carried out on the vehicle. the problem would seem to be the crankshaft or camshaft pick up sensor, a fuel delivery problem or the on board alarm anti theft unit. Trying to figure out where to put transmission fluid for a 1992 nissan sentra xe.manual transmission

Well...

U have to get ur car to a LiFTER and unscrew the PLUG on the side of the transmission and u could fill the lubricant in that hole.

Opening that plug at the bottom of the transmission means ur going to drain the old lubricant and have to put a NEW gear oil!

At the age of that Nissan, it really needs a GOOD new slicky fluid! additive to go w/ it is GREAT!

Hope the slips everything up!
