The sound you hear, is it a whining, popping, grinding, scraping or rattling sound?
If you drive a manual transmission vehicle and notice a grinding noise, it can indicate the clutch gear is no longer disengaging correctly.
I suggest you stop driving it and get it towed to a Honda repairer before you do serious engine damage. They will be able to diagnose the problem, which does sound fairly serious. Did you get a warrantee.
when the foot is free of the clutch , sometimes a tinny rattle that comes and goes ( harmonic vibration)
if the foot is resred on the clutch that tinny noise will go or if pressed ******* the clutch a grumble ( possible vibration under the foot) will sound while the clutch pedal is being pressed
may be heard from inside the car but will be heard at idle with the bonnet up
from the description , the noise is a failing throw out bearing
the gear scratching is the fact that the clutch is not fully disengaging and there is still excessive torque in the input shaft for the syncro rings to work properly
fit a new clutch kit ( including new throwout bearing) before you have to rebuild the transmissionas well
If the engine revs up more than normal and your not gaining speed then the clutch is slipping. If you shift down to pass and then try to accelerate and the engine revs up but you don't gain speed, the clutch is slipping. If with the park brake on you can let the clutch out without stalling you need a clutch. If it makes a tinny sound when the clutch is pushed, you need a trow-out bearing
