1994 toyota corolla brake lights won't turn off

Thanks for choosing FixYa and welcome. You need to check the brake switch. Your brake pedal contacts the brake switch when it is pressed down. There is a small button on the brake switch that activates the lights. It may be stuck or broke. Try to loosen the button first. If it won't, buy another one. They only cost a few dollars.

1994 Corolla shift lever stuck in park and no brake lights

The brake switch on brake pedal is bad. Tells transmission brake is depressed so it will come out of park. Also controls brake lights. It's a plunger type switch that just has a little pin that when extended completes a circuit and allows brake lights to come on. Shouldn't be hard to replace just might be aggravating to get to.

Brake light switch replacement brake lights stay on in 1990 toyota corolla

IF YOU ARE SAYING THAT YOU HAVE REPLACED THE BRAKE SWITCH AND NOW THE BRAKE LIGHTS STAY ON THEN THE PROBLEM IS THAT YOU DID NOT SCREW THE BRAKE SWITCH IN FAR ENOUGH.IT HAS A BUTTON ON THE TIP OF THE SWITCH AND IF THAT BUTTON DOES NOT REST ON THE BRAKE PEDAL,YOUR BRAKE LIGHTS WILL STAY ON.WHEN YOU PUSH ON THE BRAKE PEDAL THE BUTTON POPS OUT OF THE SWITCH WHICH MAKES THE LIGHTS TURN ON.WHEN YOU RELEASE THE BRAKE PEDAL,IT GOES BACK UP AND PUSHES THE BUTTON BACK IN WHICH MAKES THE LIGHTS GO OFF.ALSO MAKE SURE THAT YOUR ELECTIRCAL PLUG IS CONNECTED SECURELY AND ALL THE WAY PLUGGED IN.I HOPE THIS INFO HELPS, TAKE CARE AND GOOD LUCK, MANNY
