First thing on a turbo, do an oil change using full synthetic oil. If you can, plan on replacing plugs and plug wires, replace antifreeze, and check brake linings. VW Beetles are tough to work on (little room), and it would also be a good idea to check hoses and belts, cleaning the engine.

Testimonial: "thanks alot ,chaging oil is something I always do when I buy a auto,I also use syncthic oil.I thank you very much ,and will do as you recommended . "

Question partially edited for clarity, but do you mean

'2000 Volkswagen Beetle 1.8 turbo. Sensor locators', like where is the *location* of every sensor? Or do you only want sensors that are involved with the turbo?

2000 VW new Beetle uses a lot of oil, but has no leaks, oil fouls sparkplugs

Do you have the turbo model? If so you could have a bad turbo. You may also have bad valve seals or piston rings. If you have a turbo you can remove the hose or pipe off of the outlet side of your turbo between the turbo and the intake manifold. If there is oil in it your turbo is leaking and will need repaired.

What are some common engine problems in a 2000 VW beetle?

The most problematic engine issue is replacement of the timing belt, tension pully and water pump at around 70,000 miles. Failure of the timing belt can damage and possibly ruin the engine. Other common problems are low or sludged oil (if not changed intermittantly), loss of engine coolant, and bad glow plugs.
