Need help programming a remote bought on ebay for Dodge Neon 2004.Inever had an original remote as car was bought w/out one .I also haveEquus code reader/scanner if needed. Thanks
There is a way to program a remote if there is already a valid remote. Unfortunatly if you don't have a valid remote the only way to get one programmed is at the dealership with their scan tool.
I have pasted directions for programming a remote if there is already a valid transmiter.
CUSTOMER PROGRAMMING
For a customer to be able to program RKE transmitters themselves, at least one RKE transmitter must be programmed already. This procedure is to add additional transmitters. If all transmitters are lost, the DRB III® scan tool must be used to program the new transmitters.
i changed the batteries in my remote and tried programming to my neon but i never get the car to chime at me. is there a way to tell if my car is suppose to have a keyless entry function. the fuse panel on the side of the dash has a fuse in the keyless remote spot and its not blown. help please i don't want to spend $60 on getting a locksmith.

I have the same problem. The keyless remote I bought on E-Bay, said it would work for all 2004 Dodge Neon SXT models. Does the car have to be preprogrammed for keyless entry?
Thanks for the info, although after following these instructions I still can't seem to get my extra remotes to progrewm. I get al the way to the chime that indicates it's in programing mode but do not get a chime ffom any of the remotes when a button is pressed. Not even the origonal programed remote. Although IT still woriks. I even replaced all the batterys. Any Ideas? I'm thinking the maximum of four remotes may have been programed with a previous owner.
I bought a remote off ebay for the 502 astro start remote start but don't know how to program it , help plz
