Door sensor door ajar light is always on even when the doore are shut, dont knoe where the sensor is located to change out

It can be issue with faulty sensor or a wiring issue.Troubleshooting is required.

On Fords, and I imagine this vehicle as well, the door ajar switches are located inside the doors, and integrated w/ the latches. Often, over time, the switches will get a bit sticky from accumulating debris. Using your favorite lubricant (WD40, etc.), liberally spray directly into the latch mechanism. After doing this to the first door, open and close it several times to see if you've located the sticky switch. If not, move on to each door and repeat the process.

check to see if the door ajar message is illuminated on your dash.The door sensors can get gummed up and that will keep your interior lights on even if all the doors are shut tight.Spray your door sensors with WD40

problem not related ,door ajar is a faulty switch in the door pillar and the airbag light is a dirty electrical connection or loose wire caused by rubbish under one of the front seats

The sensors are in the latch assembly. Try opening the doors and spraying the latches with WD-40 that will usually fix it.

The door sensors will need to be replaced. A screws can be removed and then a wire can be taken of and you then can replace the switch.

the door ajar sensor is located on the door latch assembly, u must detrim the door and then remove the rear most window guide rail, it twists into the latch at rear of latch, it is very small and a real pain to change.

I have this same problem. A mechanic friend told me that basically the grease they use to grease the door latches cause a sensor to think the door is open. He said to buy something thtat will break up this stuck grease, but also has lubricating effects. I forgot what he told me to buy though.

What happens when you remove both switches, and wires? What happens when you use a jumper wire acros both wires, on both doors?

Ok...several issues,and you won't believe this.......The 4 wheel drive is controlled by the Body computer,thats right,there is a computer that monitors and instructs Body functions like the door ajar sensors.Well,i just finished reading a technical article on a FORD that had no 4 wd,and the transfer case controller would not allow 4wd operation because the BODY computer sensed a door ajar,so 4wd operation was inhibited.They fixed the door ajar problem,a door sensor,the door ajar light went out on the dash,and the 4wd started working again...OK.....Check engine light is the vehicle computer that controls engine and transmission functions(PCM) has detected an error with a system.When this happens,the computer stores a diagnostic trouble code.Have the codes pulled with a scan tool or code reader.Repair the codes,and the Check Engine light will go out.The power windows,i honestly don't know,but HEY...2 out of 3 ain't bad!!
