This sounds like a dead or open battery, clean the battery cables with a wire cleaning tool avail from any parts store, at the same time take the battery out and have it tested, Kragen does this for free! Most of the time the battery has a broken/burnt post inside, so it may show Green for go, but in fact is no good. Factory trained Ford and GM Technician 30 years in the field.

Wheres the fuel pump on a 2002 pontaic grand prix

Hello jame.....

The fuel filter is located under the car on the driver side, between the front and back door.

Your fuel pressure should be 53-59 p.s.i. Change your fuel filter first and see if it goes up. But like you suspect it is likely your pump. The pump is an assembly with the gage sender included is around $485 retail.

2002 Grand Prix Sending Unit

the fuel sending unit is located on the top of the fuel tank, On the grand prix you will have to drop the tank down (remove the tank straps) and the remove the ring that holds the unit in and then you can just pull the unit right out of the tank. You then place the new unit in and the installation is the reverse of removal

2002 Pontiac Grand prix wont start; unable to remove key

On many cars, if the battery is dead, it locks the key in the ignition. Put a battery charger on the car or replace the battery and give it a shot.

Good luck.

04 pontiac grand prix wont start.

first remove the battery and take it to a auto parts place and have them check it. move on from there. if the battery is good the do a starter draw test. take a meter and hook it to your battery. now have someone try and start the car. if the voltage on the battery drops from 12.8 to below 9 volts then the starter is bad. if the voltage doesnt drop much at all then its prolly the solenoid both of which require starter replacement since most solenoids are on starters. if still nothing then check ignition switch. but before anything else ensure vehicle is in park. if it is in part use a meter to test neutral safety switch.

Car wont start 2002 pontiac grand prix

You must have a nearly dead battery, have it jumped then go to a Kragen and have them test the battery and the charging system for a fault. This is FREE!
